New App Submission Stuck in “Waiting for Review” for 6 Days
Hello, I’m looking for guidance regarding a new app submission that has been in “Waiting for Review” status for 6 days now, with no change or additional communication. This is a brand-new app submission (not an update). There have been no metadata changes or rejections — it has remained in the waiting state since submission. I completely understand that review times can vary depending on workload and complexity. I just wanted to check whether this timeframe is currently normal, or if there may be something specific I should verify on my end. The app is an educational medical application, and all content is original. There are no unusual entitlements, external payment systems, or restricted APIs involved. If anyone from Apple or fellow developers has insight into whether extended “Waiting for Review” times are currently common, I would appreciate your input. Thank you in advance.

AVP, Developer Strap v2, Ethernet connection and Xcode
Hi, I wonder if there's something that can be configured to force Xcode (and preferably MVD too) to use Ethernet connection between Mac Mini and Apple Vision Pro (over a USB hub, not a direct USB connection)? If I connect AVP to Mac directly via USB, the bridge gets created and both MVD and Xcode default to it, which is great because of higher speed and lower latency. My problem is that I work with external camera, so I can have either the camera, or the Mac connection, but not both. I tried to solve that by plugging in a small active USB hub, so the strap and camera are connected to it, plus it has Ethernet adapter, which is plugged into Mac port. I tried with internet sharing on Mac - AVP has internet access, I can ping AVP from Mac, but Xcode and MVD still use wifi. I tried to manually configure bridge without internet sharing - same effect. I tried to make the bridge highest priority connection - nothing changed. I tried to force routing to AVP IP over the bridge - nothing (and it seems that my routing entry went missing after some time and was replaced by "use wifi interface"). So - is there something more I can do to make at least Xcode go over the cable? Debugging over wifi often takes forever.

Organization enrollment paused due to ID verification — best way to proceed after updating passport?
Hi, I’m trying to understand the correct process for Apple Developer Program organization enrollment when identity verification cannot be completed due to an outdated passport photo. Based on our last communication, I believe the enrollment was paused/declined because my passport photo didn’t match my current appearance (I’m assuming this because the last communication we had was specifically about my passport photo). I have since obtained a new passport with an updated photo. Timeline for context: • Jan 9: My enrollment was put on hold / could not proceed after ID verification. • Jan 12: I applied for a new passport with an updated photo. • After receiving the new passport, I followed up to provide the updated ID, but I’m not sure what the correct next step is in the enrollment workflow. Could you please advise the recommended way to proceed? • Should I submit a new organization enrollment, or can the existing one be re-opened/continued? I couldn’t find a way to resubmit/continue the existing enrollment from my side. • What is the proper channel to submit the updated ID again (for example, via the file-upload link or another path)? • If there is a standard escalation path for enrollment/verification cases, what is the best way to follow it? We’ve completed our testing and preparation on other platforms, but we haven’t been able to complete the iOS side due to this enrollment issue, which is blocking our overall product launch. I’m sure you’re handling a very high volume of enrollment requests from all over the world every day. We’re a small/new team and we’ve been working on this for a long time, so any guidance on the correct process would be greatly appreciated. Enrollment ID: K5WNDGXN9T Thank you.

Continuing my subscription after it ends
Hello everyone. I'm looking for some advice. My subscription expired a few months ago. Unfortunately, I didn't notice. Now, after some time, I've tried to renew, but I can't find a renewal button on the website, in the developer apps, or in my subscriptions. What should I do in such cases? I contacted technical support, but haven't received a response. Thanks in advance.

App Review error: “Plans not available, try again later” but IAP works in sandbox
Hi I’ve previously shipped apps to the App Store, but I’m encountering an In-App Purchase issue on this submission. During App Review, tapping Continue on the paywall shows: “Plans not available, try again later.” This leads to a rejection under Guideline 2.1 – App Completeness. I’ve confirmed: Paid Apps Agreement is active Subscription plans are Ready to Submit StoreKit returns products during sandbox testing Purchases work correctly with fresh sandbox users Is there any way to reproduce or validate the App Review sandbox environment without repeatedly resubmitting? Are there known reasons this error appears in review but not during local sandbox testing? Thanks.

MLX/Ollama Benchmarking Suite - Open Source and Free
Hi all, I spent the last few months developing an MLX/Ollama local AI Benchmarking suite for Apple Silicon, written in pure Swift and signed with an Apple Developer Certificate, open source, GPL, and free. I would love some feedback to continue development. It is the only benchmarking suite I know of that supports live power metrics and MLX natively, as well as quick exports for benchmark results, and an arena mode, Model A vs B with history. I really want this project to succeed, and have widespread use, so getting 75 stars on the github repo makes it eligible for Homebrew/Cask distribution. Github Repo

issue with my submission - 4.2 - Design - Minimum Functionality
Hi, Got my first submission rejected due to Design - Minimum Functionality and would like to ask for some guidance on what to do. To give some context of my app. My app is quite simple but solves a common issue in my home town. During the winter month, every street will have a certain time when parking is forbidden. This results in everyone having to move their car several times a week to avoid getting tickets. Every time you move, you need to note and remember when to move it again, etc. A parking ticket for forgetting is around 140 USD. My app aims to solve this by letting the user press a button which makes the app use the current GPS location to fetch the parking relevant parking restriction and create a notification the day before, reminding the user to move their car. Simple UI and nothing fancy. I've also created onboarding that gives relevant information the first time a user open their app. I'm a bit on the fence on what I should do to pass. In my opinion, the functionality is more than a website because it uses GPS, creates notifications, loading spinner when parking restrictions are being fetched, has onboarding, etc. I think an issue that might cause the reviewer to dismiss it is that it currently only work in my specific town - it uses certain APIs to fetch the parking restrictions. So, should I try to create more functionality (not sure what) or do I need to clearly argue my case and demo my apps functionality via recordings? Thanks in advance for any help and guidance :)

Approved app stuck in “Ready for Distribution” — release controls disabled
My iOS app has passed App Review and is marked “Ready for Distribution,” but App Store Connect does not allow me to release it because the App Store Version Release controls are disabled. App Review is closed and the Resolution Center is unavailable. I have submitted multiple Apple Developer Support cases and called phone support, but the issue remains unresolved. This appears to be an App Store Connect backend state issue affecting a first-time app with subscriptions. Can Apple engineering assist in unlocking release permissions for iOS version 1.0?

APNS always returning "discarded as device was offline"
Approx Dec 13th 2025 til now (Dec 29th) I noticed my APNS dropped off to nothing daily. When I try to send APNS alerts on the developer site tool it always returns "discarded as device was offline" for multiple devices which I know are online. When I try pushing through my VPS (as I always have without any code changes for months) I get status codes of 400 and 403 mostly and a few 200's without it delivering also. I created a new sandbox certificate just in case it was that but still no luck, I get the same results. Ive checked for any firewall issues and I see the following on my VPS: nslookup gateway.push.apple.com Server: 1.1.1.1 Address: 1.1.1.1#53 ** server can't find gateway.push.apple.com: NXDOMAIN This seems like a second issue but not the primary issue that the portal is reporting. Any ideas what to check? Im at a loss as to why its not working at all through apples test notification portal on my developer account. It seems thats the initial issue I need to solve. Thank you for any ideas/help

AppIntents built in way to receive recurrence rule as parameter?
I'm implementing app intents for my tasks app which supports recurrence rule for tasks. I see that when creating a todo for Reminders via Siri it allows to set a recurrence rule via natural language. Is there a built in way to receive that recurrence rule as a @Parameter in my AppIntent? If not, is it possible to receive the full user dictated text in the AppIntent:perform method so that I can use some ML model to convert the text to EKRecurrenceRule or similar?

Spatial Audio on Mac - When and how to render using Audio Units?
I'm working on adding Spatial Audio support to a game on the Mac. I'm looking at the SpatialAudioRenderer sample but having some issues. It's unclear to me when a device is compatible with Spatial Audio and when I should attempt to render Spatial Audio. There is no property that I can find on the Mac that advertises Spatial Audio compatibility on a device. The sample crashes when the output device is a USB device. This includes the Apple Studio Display. The Apple Studio Display is supposed to be capable of rendering Spatial Audio. The device doesn't work with the sample - do I still need to render down the 7.1.4 source on this device? The sample always renders down to Stereo, but the Apple Studio Display is not a Stereo device. I'm a bit confused by the sample and when/how I should configure the mixing unit.

App is stuck in "Waiting for review" for more than a month, going past my launching deadline
Hi, I'm here hoping for some help or advice in terms of a critical situation I'm currently facing. I've submitted an iOS app more than one month ago, it was quickly got review and rejected twice, and when I re-submit the third time with new build, it then was stuck in the "Waiting for review" status for about 3 weeks. Then, I decided to withdraw the submission and re-submit again, but it doesn't work and remain "Waiting for review" status until now. During these waiting period, I’ve contacted Apple Support multiple times through mails, and received confirmation that my expedited review request was approved. However, no progress has been made since then. Here is a quick summary of the timeline Initial submission: July 29, 2025 Rejected due to Guideline 4.2.2 & 2.1: July 30, 2025 Second submission: Aug 4, 2025 Rejected due to Guideline 4.2.2 & 4.2.0: Aug 6, 2025 Third submission: Aug 6, 2025 Withdraw third & create forth submission: Aug 25, 2025 If anyone from the App Review team sees this post, or if any developers have experienced a similar situation and can offer advice, we would be truly grateful. Thank you in advance for your time and support.

Reproducible EXC_BAD_ACCESS in NEDNSProxyProvider when using async/await variants of NEAppProxyUDPFlow
Description I am seeing a consistent crash in a NEDNSProxyProvider on iOS when migrating from completion handlers to the new Swift Concurrency async/await variants of readDatagrams() and writeDatagrams() on NEAppProxyUDPFlow. The crash occurs inside the Swift Concurrency runtime during task resumption. Specifically, it seems the Task attempts to return to the flow’s internal serial executor (NEFlow queue) after a suspension point, but fails if the flow was invalidated or deallocated by the kernel while the task was suspended. Error Signature Thread 4: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (code=1, address=0x28) Thread 4 Queue : NEFlow queue (serial) #0 0x000000018fe919cc in swift::AsyncTask::flagAsAndEnqueueOnExecutor () #9 0x00000001ee25c3b8 in _pthread_wqthread () Steps The crash is highly timing-dependent. To reproduce it reliably: Use an iOS device with Developer Settings enabled. Go to Developer > Network Link Conditioner -> High Latency DNS. Intercept a DNS query and perform a DoH (DNS-over-HTTPS) request using URLSession. The first few network requests should trigger the crash Minimum Working Example (MWE) class DNSProxyProvider: NEDNSProxyProvider { override func handleNewFlow(_ flow: NEAppProxyFlow) -> Bool { guard let udpFlow = flow as? NEAppProxyUDPFlow else { return false } Task(priority: .userInitiated) { await handleUDPFlow(udpFlow) } return true } func handleUDPFlow(_ flow: NEAppProxyUDPFlow) async { do { try await flow.open(withLocalFlowEndpoint: nil) while !Task.isCancelled { // Suspension point 1: Waiting for datagrams let (flowData, error) = await flow.readDatagrams() if let error { throw error } guard let flowData, !flowData.isEmpty else { return } var responses: [(Data, Network.NWEndpoint)] = [] for (data, endpoint) in flowData { // Suspension point 2: External DoH resolution let response = try await resolveViaDoH(data) responses.append((response, endpoint)) } // Suspension point 3: Writing back to the flow // Extension will crash here on task resumption try await flow.writeDatagrams(responses) } } catch { flow.closeReadWithError(error) flow.closeWriteWithError(error) } } private func handleFlowData(_ packet: Data, endpoint: Network.NWEndpoint, using parameters: NWParameters) async throws -> Data { let url = URL(string: "https://dns.google/dns-query")! var request = URLRequest(url: url) request.httpMethod = "POST" request.httpBody = packet request.setValue("application/dns-message", forHTTPHeaderField: "Content-Type") let (data, _) = try await URLSession.shared.data(for: request) return data } } Crash Details & Analysis The disassembly at the crash point indicates a null dereference of an internal executor pointer (Voucher context): ldr x20, [TPIDRRO_EL0 + 0x340] ldr x0, [x20, #0x28] // x20 is NULL/0x0 here, resulting in address 0x28 It appears that NEAppProxyUDPFlow’s async methods bind the Task to a specific internal executor. When the kernel reclaims the flow memory, the pointer in x20 becomes invalid. Because the Swift runtime is unaware that the NEFlow queue executor has vanished, it attempts to resume on non-existing flow and then crashes. Checking !Task.isCancelled does not prevent this, as the crash happens during the transition into the task body before the cancellation check can even run. Questions Is this a known issue of the NetworkExtension async bridge? Why does Task.isCancelled not reflect the deallocation of the underlying NEAppProxyFlow? Is the only safe workaround? Please feel free to correct me if I misunderstood anything here. I'll be happy to hear any insights or suggestions :) Thank you!

Developer Program Renewal Button Missing - Cannot Renew Membership
I am unable to renew my Apple Developer Program membership because the renewal button is completely missing from every platform and location where I've looked: Apple Developer website Apple Developer app on iPhone Apple Developer app on Mac Subscriptions settings I have attempted multiple troubleshooting steps without success: Tried multiple devices Tested different browsers Cleared cache and cookies Signed out and back in Attempted private browsing mode The renewal button simply does not appear anywhere. Why This Cannot Be Self-Resolved: The self-service renewal system is broken or inaccessible Phone support is not available in my country Previous support emails have gone unanswered There is no alternative path forward available to me Impact: My apps are offline or at risk of removal I am losing users and revenue daily My membership is about to expire, making my development account inactive Important Context: This appears to be a widespread issue affecting developers globally, as documented across Reddit and Apple developer forums. Other developers who have access to phone support report the issue is resolved in under 15 minutes. However, that option does not exist for me due to regional limitations. I need assistance with a manual renewal process. This ticket requires escalation, as self-service options are completely unavailable to me. Any guidance or direct assistance would be greatly appreciated.

SwiftUI mysterious behavior
Hello dear developers! Recently, I stumbled upon some really strange behavior of SwiftUI and I’m very curious why it works this way struct ContentView: View { @State private var title: String? @State private var isSheetPresented: Bool = false var body: some View { Button("Hello, world!") { title = "Sheet title" isSheetPresented = true } .sheet(isPresented: $isSheetPresented, content: { if let title { Text(title) } else { EmptyView() } }) } } Why in this case when we tap the button and sheet comes in we go to the branch else even though we set title before isSheetPresented but it still somehow nil But what really drive me crazy is that if we change a little bit code to this: I just added another @State property 'number' and use it as the Button's title. In this scenario it works 😃 and Text in the sheet view appearing struct ContentView: View { @State private var title: String? @State private var number = 0 @State private var isSheetPresented = false var body: some View { Button("\(number)") { title = "Sheet title" number += 0 isSheetPresented = true } .sheet(isPresented: $isSheetPresented, content: { if let title { Text(title) } else { EmptyView() } }) } } Is this somehow related to what happens under the hood like View Tree and Render Tree (Attribute Graph)? Maybe because ContentView’s body doesn't capture title it cannot be stored in the Render Tree so it always would have the initial value of nil? if there are any well-informed folks here, please help me figure out this mystery, I’d appreciate it!!! p.s. Don’t get me wrong. Im not interested in how to make it work. I’m interested in why this doesn’t work and what really happens under the hood that led to this result

Question: Does CXCallDirectoryProvider affect outgoing call UI? (inconsistent behavior after iOS update)Question: Does CXCallDirectoryProvider affect outgoing call UI? (inconsistent behavior after iOS update)
Hello Apple Developer Technical Support team, We have an iOS app that provides caller identification via a Call Directory extension (CXCallDirectoryProvider). Our extension provides identification entries (phone number → label), and users enable it in Settings > Phone > Call Blocking & Identification. We would like to confirm whether Call Directory is used only for incoming calls, and understand why the outgoing call UI sometimes shows labels. Observed behavior Incoming calls: After a user logs in again (which triggers a server sync and then reloads the Call Directory extension), the caller label is shown correctly on the incoming call screen for matching numbers. Outgoing calls: In general, the outgoing call screen often shows only the phone number (no label), even when the same number exists in our identification entries and the extension is enabled. However, on some devices, the outgoing call screen does show a label even when the number is not saved in the local Contacts app. In at least one customer case, the outgoing label behavior changed after an iOS update: before updating iOS, labels were not shown on outgoing calls; after updating iOS, labels started appearing (with no changes in our app settings/config). Questions Is the Phone app expected to consult Call Directory identification entries only for incoming calls (caller ID), and not for outgoing call UI? If labels can appear on outgoing calls, what are the possible sources and rules (e.g., Recents cache, carrier Name Display/CNAM, other system caches), and is any of that behavior documented? Are there known iOS version changes or issues that could explain “outgoing label not shown” becoming “outgoing label shown” after an OS update? We can provide: A minimal repro project, steps to reproduce, and exact iOS versions/devices Screenshots/video sysdiagnose / device logs (please advise what log types are most useful) Thank you,

Unable to use Testflight email invite properly
I have a tester who switched phones a few months back. Crucially he no longer has access to the old phone. On his new phone when I send him a test flight invite to his apple account, 123@example, he receives it but it fails to work when he clicks the link. He is getting the following message. The Apple account (123@example) you're currently signed in with does not match the one (456@example) associated with this invitation. He has no idea what email 456 is. Since his old phone was a hand me down, I'm assuming it's someone else's email entirely. I'm trying to figure out how we clear this association out. I tried deleting his app store connect for my app and reinviting him all the way from the beginning. This did not work. As a stopgap I'm giving him a public link under an external testing group but I'd really like to not have to do that. Anyone have any ideas how we can fix this so I can shift him back to the Internal testing group?

Seeking Guidance: How to Launch a Privacy-First Messaging App with Maximum Impact
Hi everyone, I’m building a messaging app because I’ve seen firsthand how much support and safety is overlooked for this generation online. My goal is to give teens a foundation of security, privacy, and mental health support, while still letting them connect freely. I want to leverage Apple’s platform to help this mission reach the right audience and have real impact. The app already includes: Community chat with message blurring for sensitive or harmful words. Anti-shoulder surfing tools to protect private conversations. Shake dashboard for quick access to emergency services. In-chat locks with ML detection for grooming patterns, offering resources while respecting privacy. Full user control: messages can be deleted anytime, blocking is permanent, and accounts can’t bypass restrictions on the same device. User consent-first design: every feature is opt-in and controlled by the user. At this point, I’m looking for guidance on how to position and prepare the app to reach Apple editorial or headline attention — what steps or best practices help mission-driven apps get noticed for features, WWDC spotlights, or App Store promotion? My focus isn’t just on improving the app, but on launch strategy and visibility in a way that amplifies the mission responsibly. If it’s helpful, I can share a TestFlight build or walkthrough to illustrate the app in action. Thank you for any insights or advice — I want to make sure this mission has the best chance to reach and support the generation it’s built for.
