Handling ITMS-91061: Missing privacy manifest
An ITMS-91061: Missing privacy manifest rejection email looks as follows: ITMS-91061: Missing privacy manifest- Your app includes "<path/to/SDK>", which includes , an SDK that was identified in the documentation as a privacy-impacting third-party SDK. Starting February 12, 2025, if a new app includes a privacy-impacting SDK, or an app update adds a new privacy-impacting SDK, the SDK must include a privacy manifest file. Please contact the provider of the SDK that includes this file to get an updated SDK version with a privacy manifest. For more details about this policy, including a list of SDKs that are required to include signatures and manifests, visit: https://developer.apple.com/support/third-party-SDK-requirements. Glossary ITMS-91061: Missing privacy manifest: An email that includes the name and path of privacy-impacting SDK(s) with no privacy manifest files in your app bundle. For more information, see https://developer.apple.com/support/third-party-SDK-requirements. : The specified privacy-impacting SDK that doesn't include a privacy manifest file. If you are the developer of the rejected app, gather the name of the SDK from the email you received from Apple, then contact the SDK's provider for an updated version that includes a valid privacy manifest. After receiving an updated version of the SDK, verify the SDK includes a valid privacy manifest file at the expected location. For more information, see Adding a privacy manifest to your app or third-party SDK. If your app includes a privacy manifest file, make sure the file only describes the privacy practices of your app. Do not add the privacy practices of the SDK to your app's privacy manifest. If the email lists multiple SDKs, repeat the above process for all of them. If you are the developer of an SDK listed in the email, publish an updated version of your SDK that includes a privacy manifest file with valid keys and values. Every privacy-impacting SDK must contain a privacy manifest file that only describes its privacy practices. Preventing Copycat and Impersonation Rejections
In this post, we'll share tips to help you submit apps that deliver original ideas to your users. When working on your app, focus on creating interesting, unique experiences that aren't already available. Apps that actively try to copy other apps won't pass review, and accounts that repeatedly submit copycat apps or attempt to impersonate a service will be closed. The rules that prevent copycat and impersonator apps from being distributed on the App Store are described in App Review Guideline 4.1: 4.1 Copycats (a) Come up with your own ideas. We know you have them, so make yours come to life. Don’t simply copy the latest popular app on the App Store, or make some minor changes to another app’s name or UI and pass it off as your own. In addition to risking an intellectual property infringement claim, it makes the App Store harder to navigate and just isn’t fair to your fellow developers. (b) Submitting apps which impersonate other apps or services is considered a violation of the Developer Code of Conduct and may result in removal from the Apple Developer Program.(c) You cannot use another developer’s icon, brand, or product name in your app’s icon or name, without approval from the developer. These requirements help make the App Store both a safe place for people to discover apps and a platform for all developers to be successful. Best Practices Here are three best practices that will help you submit apps that follow App Review Guideline 4.1: 1. Submit apps with unique content and features. People want apps that provide unique experiences. Find areas that aren't currently being served and build compelling apps for those audiences. Do: Create apps that provide a new experience or a unique spin on an existing concept. Design original, delightful interfaces that elegantly meet your user's needs. Don't: Don’t imitate the features and functionality of other apps. Don’t copy the look and feel of other apps, such as using an identical user interface design. 2. Make sure App Store metadata only contains relevant information and content you either own or have permission to use. The metadata provided in App Store Connect is used to populate your app's product page on the App Store. People rely on this metadata to learn about your app and what it has to offer. Leveraging the popularity of another brand or app, either by including irrelevant references or protected content, is misleading and won't help your app succeed. Do: Use engaging, descriptive language to describe your unique app. Create original content that best represents your app, such as screenshots showing the actual app in use. Don't: Don't use protected material you do not have the necessary permission to use, such as app icons that are similar to icons of a popular app. Don’t include irrelevant references, such as popular app names or trademarked terms, in any metadata fields. 3. Provide information that is authentic and verifiable. People want to know the developers behind their favorite apps are who they say they are. It's important to continually review and provide up-to-date information, including the developer or company name listed on your Apple Developer Program account, the Support URL listed on your app's product page, and other helpful information. This will enable your users to contact you when they need help and it will also hinder people who may try to impersonate you, your app, or your service. Do: Make sure all information, resources, and documentation related to your account and apps are current and accurate. Don't: Don’t provide inaccurate information or resources, such as directing people to outdated support pages. Don’t provide fraudulent documentation. Accounts that submit fraudulent documentation will be removed from the Apple Developer Program. Support Incorporating these best practices into your app's development will help you submit apps that follow App Review Guideline 4.1. If you need additional assistance, consider taking advantage of one of the following support options available from App Review: If your submission has been rejected, reply to the message from App Review in App Store Connect and request clarification. Request an App Review Appointment to discuss the results of our review. Appointments are subject to availability, and take place during local business hours in your region on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you believe your app follows the App Review Guidelines, consider submitting an appeal to the App Review Board. Resources Learn about foundational design principles from Apple designers and the developer community. Learn how to create engaging App Store product pages. Note that apps that violate intellectual property rights are subject to removal through the App Store Content Dispute process. If you believe an app on the App Store violates your intellectual property rights, you can submit a claim.

my apps waiting for review for long time no response
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inquire about the status of my recent app submissions and updates. Currently, all my submitted apps and updates have been stuck in the "Waiting for Review" status for an unusually extended period of time (over a month). Since this delay affects all my submissions, I am concerned that there might be an issue with my developer account, or perhaps my submissions are stuck due to a system glitch. Could you please investigate this matter and let me know if there is any additional information, documentation, or action required from my side to help move the review process forward? Thank you for your time, support, and understanding. I look forward to your response. Best regards

3 Apps Stuck in “Waiting for Review” (9–17 Days) — No Update or Follow-Up
Hi everyone, I’m opening a new thread because I previously posted about this issue and received a reply from App Review saying it was being investigated, but unfortunately I have not received any follow-up and still see no progress in App Store Connect. At the moment, all 3 of my apps are still stuck in “Waiting for Review” with no visible update: App ID 6759178103 — Waiting for Review since Feb 14, 2026 App ID 6758885884 — Waiting for Review since Feb 8, 2026 App ID 6758135741 — Waiting for Review since Feb 6, 2026 I do not see any warnings, Resolution Center messages, or visible account issues. Agreements/Tax/Banking are active, and the builds were uploaded successfully. Could someone please help check whether there might be a hidden blocker on my account or these submissions, or confirm if this is currently only a review queue delay? If needed, I can provide additional details immediately (bundle IDs, app category, sign-in requirements, encryption/export compliance, etc.). If anyone else is currently experiencing the same delay, please feel free to share your status here as well (date submitted / current status), so we can understand whether this is a broader review queue issue. Thank you in advance for your help.

Apps Stuck in 'Waiting for Review' for 12+ Days — IAPs Also Blocked
Hello everyone, I am hoping someone here can share some advice or has experienced a similar situation. I am an individual developer and two of my apps have been stuck in 'Waiting for Review' status for over 10 to 12 days now. Prior to this, the review process was moving normally and I was receiving feedback from Apple on both apps. Then suddenly everything stopped and both apps have been sitting in the queue with no movement and no communication from the review team. To make things worse, I am also unable to delete these apps or make any changes because their In-App Purchases are simultaneously under review, which is locking me out of managing my own apps entirely. I already created a support case specifically for App Review (Case ID: 20000111755276) over a week ago, but unfortunately I have not heard back anything from Apple at all — no acknowledgment, no update, nothing. I am based in Pakistan and the phone callback option is not available for my region, so email and this forum are essentially my only options to get any help. Has anyone else experienced such a long delay recently? Is there anything else I can do to get this moving or at least get a response from the review team? Any advice or shared experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My App stuck in Waiting for Review since 5 feb 2026
Hello, I submitted my app for review on February 5 at 1:53 PM, and it is still currently showing as “Waiting for Review.” I understand that App Store reviews can take time; however, I’ve noticed that my recent submissions have been taking around 10–12 days before the review process begins. I wanted to check if there might be any specific issue or reason for this delay. Historically, my apps have only had minor review feedback (for example, small metadata or description adjustments), and no major compliance issues. For initial reviews of new versions, the waiting time seems significantly longer than expected. I would appreciate any information or guidance you can provide regarding this. Thank you for your support. Best regards, Raj

App review status inquiry (ID: 6758112873)
Dear Apple review team, I hope this message finds you well. I understand the team must be incredibly busy, and I appreciate the hard work that goes into maintaining the app store's quality and standards. I'm writing to kindly inquire about the status of my app (ID: 6758112873), which has been in "Waiting for Review" since February 3rd. If there is anything I can do on my end to help move things along, I'm happy to assist. I submitted the app at the end of January and shortly after resolved a small issue with in-app purchase products that had not been included in the initial submission. I wanted to flag this in case it's relevant to the review. I should mention that this app is designed to improve patient care in a hospital setting, and once approved, it will also be used in support of ongoing research. For this reason, a timely approval would be particularly appreciated. Thank you for your time! I appreciate it. Warm regards, Filip

App waiting for review since February 3 - no updates from App Review
Hello everyone, My app (App ID: 6758463939) has been waiting for review since February 3 and the status has not changed since then. All issues from the previous rejection were fixed: App name corrected and now matches after installation Demo account with full access provided All requested changes completed I also contacted App Review through Resolution Center and opened a support case, but have not received any response yet. I just want to confirm that everything is normal and that the app is still in the review queue. Has anyone experienced similar delays recently with first submissions? If there is any additional step I should take or another place to contact Apple, please let me know. Thank you.

App Review says we're using Non Public APIs, although we don't
Hi All, Our app update got rejected with the following reason: ITMS-90338: Non-public API usage - The app references non-public symbols in GPS: _CCCryptorGCMOneshotEncrypt. If method names in your source code match the private Apple APIs listed above, altering your method names will help prevent this app from being flagged in future submissions.... This is just a regular app update, we didn't do any big changes and we don't use this function or anything related to CommonCrypto/Cryptography in the app. We tried to submit a Code Level Support request but always receive a Gateway Timeout. Has anyone came across a similiar experience and would be able to help?

App stuck in "Waiting for Review" for a week!
I'm busy trying to get a new app released on the store. Initially my review requests were declined with issues that I fixed. But then a few weeks ago, on the 5th of Feb, my app went into the state "In Review" and was stuck there until the 16th of Feb (11 days). I submitted support requests to find out what is taking so long without any feedback. I then cancelled and resubmitted that review in hopes that I would get some kind of feedback. That was 7 days ago and my app is still in "Waiting for Review". I've requested an expedited review in hopes to get some kind of feedback, but it feels like I'm being ignored. I don't see any obvious issues that would prevent my app from being reviewed. What can I do to get my app reviewed?

App review taking over 2 weeks — no updates even after resubmission
Hello, We’re facing a long delay with our app review and would appreciate any advice. We submitted our app for review and have been waiting for over 2 weeks with no updates at all — no approval, no rejection, and no request for more information. Since we weren’t sure what was happening, we looked into it and found that sometimes apps can get stuck in the review queue. Based on that, we decided to cancel the submission and submit it again. It has now been 2 more days since resubmitting, and there is still no response or progress. At this point, we’re not sure if this delay is normal or if there might be an issue on our side. App details: App Name: Autoskop Platform: ios Has anyone experienced something similar recently? Is there anything we can do to speed up the process or get clarity from Apple? Thank you.

stuck in “Waiting for Review” since February 7
Hello Apple Developer Support, My app has been stuck in “Waiting for Review” since February 7, and I have submitted multiple inquiries without receiving any response. This delay has now become extremely concerning. Missing a planned launch due to an indefinite review timeline is very difficult for independent developers. If there is an issue with the submission, I would appreciate clear communication. If there are review delays, transparency would help us plan accordingly. I respect the review process, but the lack of updates after this amount of time is frustrating. I would sincerely appreciate clarification on the status. I kindly ask for a specific and personalized response regarding my case, as my previous inquiries received only general or automated replies without addressing the actual issue. Thank you.

Request for Better Support and Review Consistency
Hello Apple Team, Please, we need you to come back to the level of support and consistency we used to have. Right now, the review process and the assistance we’re receiving don’t reflect the standards we’ve known from Apple. Developers don’t deserve this style of support; long waits, unclear rejections, and no real answers. We rely on the App Store to run our businesses, and we simply need the professionalism, clarity, and responsiveness that Apple was always known for. Please help bring that quality back. We deserve better Thank you.

First iOS App stuck in "Waiting for Review" for days after resolving Guideline 2.1
Hello everyone, I am seeking some advice or shared experiences regarding my first iOS app submission. My app was initially rejected under Guideline 2.1 (Information Needed) because the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt was not displaying. I completely resolved this issue by implementing the request directly in native Swift (AppDelegate.swift) and verified that the prompt appears correctly on launch. I uploaded the new build (Version 1.0, Build 5) and resubmitted it for review a few days ago. However, the status has been stuck at "Waiting for Review" ever since, without moving to "In Review". Since this is my very first app on the App Store, I am unsure if this kind of delay is normal for a resubmission, or if my app might be stuck in a queue. I have already sent a polite inquiry via the Resolution Center, but I am eagerly waiting to launch my app and proceed with my marketing plans. Has anyone experienced a similar delay recently after fixing a 2.1 Guideline issue? Is there any additional step I should take to bump the review, or is it strictly a waiting game at this point? Thank you in advance for your time and any guidance! Best regards, Onur App Name: Tercih Cini App ID: 6758962191

We can't ask for expedited reviews
Hey team! I’m trying to request an expedited review for an app launching on the 24th of this month, but I’m unable to proceed. The request that fetches the apps for the selected organization is failing with a 500 error, even though it still returns the list of apps. I’ve tried clearing my Chrome cache and also attempted the same process in Safari, but the issue persists in both browsers. Has anyone run into this before or knows how to get around it?

Waiting for app review about 10 days
Hello, I have an iOS application that has been submitted for review and is currently in the “Waiting for Review” state. App details: App Name: Fato Platform: iOS Version: 1.2.6 Submission date: February 10 Current status: Waiting for Review This update includes significant UI and user experience changes following previous App Review feedback, including a custom-built interface and updated metadata. The app has been waiting for review for several days without moving to “In Review,” and I wanted to ask if this duration is expected for apps with prior review history, or if there is anything additional I should check from my side. I have already submitted an expedited review request and opened a Developer Support case, and I would appreciate any general guidance on expected timelines or next steps. Thank you in advance.

App Review Issue/Bug/Delay
More than 2 week's ago submitted 3 apps, and it's still stuck on "In Review" status with zero updates. No updates in statuses. No updates from email support Apple Team. We create some tickets on support tab, but no updates from Apple Team. Apple’s review process usually isn’t this slow, so I’m starting to wonder if something’s broken on their end… Would appreciate any insights or updates from others who’ve managed to get through this too!!! Can you please help us to resolve this issue?

"Waiting for Review" since January 31
My app update has been in "Waiting for Review" since January 31. This is my second post here, as it appears the App Review team is monitoring these posts, and this is the only place where I’ve seen direct responses. I’ve submitted multiple support requests and called Apple Developer Support several times, but they can only leave messages for the App Review team, which remain unanswered (support case ID: 102819325365). I also requested an expedited review — with no response. This update is urgent for my app and my team. We are currently blocked and losing revenue each day. I would greatly appreciate any information on how much longer this might take, or whether it is worth continuing to wait.
