Determining the number of missed calls.
In iOS 18, when a contact with multiple phone numbers called, the system clearly indicated which specific number was used—often by highlighting it in red for missed calls or tagging it as 'recent.' However, in iOS 26, this distinction is missing, and there is no way to determine which of the contact's numbers the call originated from.

Team Member Can’t access Certificates, Identifiers, and Profiles
Here on the forums I see a lot of reports like this: According to App Store Connect, I’m an Admin member of a team, but I can’t access the Certificates, Identifiers, and Profiles section of the Developer website for that team. There’s one really common reason for this, namely that this is an Individual team. This is clearly documented in Developer Account Help > Access > Roles and access, which says: If you’re enrolled as an individual and add users in App Store Connect, users receive access only to your content in App Store Connect and are not considered part of your team in the Apple Developer Program. So, if App Store Connect indicates that you’re a team Admin but you can’t access Certificates, Identifiers, and Profiles, it’s critical that you check that this is not an Individual team. To do this: Log on to Developer > Account. Select the correct team at the top right. Scroll down to the “Membership details” section. Look at the “Enrolled as” field. If it says “Individual”, then only the team’s Account Holder can access Certificates, Identifiers, and Profiles. OTOH, if it says something else, like “Organization” or “Enterprise”, then see below. If you’re working for someone else who only has an Individual team, I recommend that you encourage them to update to an Organization team. For advice on how to do that, see Developer Account Help > Membership > Updating your account information > Updating an individual membership to an organization membership. If you can’t access Certificates, Identifiers, and Profiles and you’re absolutely sure that this is not an Individual team, I recommend that you seek formal assistance via Apple > Developer > Contact Us. Big suggestion for the improvements to “Filter unknown calls”:
Hi, I have a big suggestion for the next update! My suggestion is to upgrade the call filtering system : - “Block suspicious calls” It automatically block numbers that are likely to be unwanted or spam. These calls should not ring, should not appear in the call history, and should be silently discarded. - “Block unknown callers/hidden numbers” Instead of receiving a call from a hidden or unknown caller and seeing it appear in the missed calls list, the call should be completely blocked and not recorded at all, no notification, no sight of call. - “Filter numbers that are not from contacts” If the same unknown number calls too frequently within a week and the user never answers (for example 10 times per day, or 5 times per day if considered suspicious or too much spam in a little time), the iPhone should automatically block this number. The device would display a message such as: “This number has called too many times and has been automatically blocked for 3 day(or 1 week).” The block could also apply to the entire IP range or source associated with the unknown caller. It is very helpful for most of unwanted calls.

Is iOS ASO mainly about optimizing the title subtitle and keyword fields
I have been exploring App Store Optimization and noticed that Apple primarily uses the App Name, Subtitle, and Keyword field as the main text based ranking signals according to official and third party sources. Are these the only factors that truly impact iOS ASO, or do elements like the app description and promotional text indirectly influence visibility, conversion, or ranking updates over time, and how frequently should subtitles and keywords be revised after launch.

Biometrics prompt + private key access race condition on since iOS 26.1
We are using SecItemCopyMatching from LocalAuthentication to access the private key to sign a challenge in our native iOS app twice in a few seconds from user interactions. This was working as expected up until about a week ago where we started getting reports of it hanging on the biometrics screen (see screenshot below). From our investigation we've found the following: It impacts newer iPhones using iOS 26.1 and later. We have replicated on these devices: iPhone 17 Pro max iPhone 16 Pro iPhone 15 Pro max iPhone 15 Only reproducible if the app tries to access the private key twice in quick succession after granting access to face ID. Looks like a race condition between the biometrics permission prompt and Keychain private key access We were able to make it work by waiting 10 seconds between private key actions, but this is terrible UX. We tried adding adding retries over the span of 10 seconds which fixed it on some devices, but not all. We checked the release notes for iOS 26.1, but there is nothing related to this. Screenshot:

Approved app stuck in “Ready for Distribution” — release controls disabled
My iOS app has passed App Review and is marked “Ready for Distribution,” but App Store Connect does not allow me to release it because the App Store Version Release controls are disabled. App Review is closed and the Resolution Center is unavailable. I have submitted multiple Apple Developer Support cases and called phone support, but the issue remains unresolved. This appears to be an App Store Connect backend state issue affecting a first-time app with subscriptions. Can Apple engineering assist in unlocking release permissions for iOS version 1.0?

Accept a Review Rejection Defeat or Play Along with Reviewer
I have a desktop application developed in SwiftUI that shows property locations on the map. That's NOT the main feature. IF you give the application permission to access your location, the blue dot will appear on the map. If you don't, the blue user dot won't appear. That's the only difference with location services. In other words, the application has no use of user's current position beyond showing it on the map. Since it's just the matter of showing or not showing the blue dot on the map, the application doesn't really need to use the location service. Anyway, the reviewer is talking about something else by rejecting the application in two aspects. Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage Guideline 5.1.5 - Legal - Privacy - Location Services As I said earlier, the application only wants to show the blue dot on the map so that you can see your property locations relative to your current location. In code, it's something like the following. Map(position: $propertyViewModel.mapPosition) { ForEach(propertyViewModel.properties) { property in Annotation("", coordinate: CLLocationCoordinate2D(latitude: property.lat, longitude: property.lon)) { ... } } UserAnnotation() } So I'm hit with two rejection reasons with this one line. UserAnnotation() And the reviewer is talking about something like the app is not functional when Location Services are disabled. To resolve this issue, please revise the app so that the app is fully functional without requiring the user to enable Location Services. Well, I can remove the UserAnnotation() line if I want to put this application through the review process. Nothing will become dysfunctional, though, if you decide to reject permission request. So would you remove it or would you play along with this reviewer if you were me? It's been three or four days since rejection. As you can imagine, the reviewer doesn't bother to answer as to What are the exact coordinates that the application has allegedly collected What won't work as a result of location permission request refusal. This isn't the first time I get my app rejected. I've probably had 150 to 200 of them rejected in the past 15 years. And just because a reviewer rejects your app for a bizarre reason, would you give in? Remove this feature and that feature because the reviewer is incompetent such that he or she makes his or her decision based on imagination? What do you think?

issue with my submission - 4.2 - Design - Minimum Functionality
Hi, Got my first submission rejected due to Design - Minimum Functionality and would like to ask for some guidance on what to do. To give some context of my app. My app is quite simple but solves a common issue in my home town. During the winter month, every street will have a certain time when parking is forbidden. This results in everyone having to move their car several times a week to avoid getting tickets. Every time you move, you need to note and remember when to move it again, etc. A parking ticket for forgetting is around 140 USD. My app aims to solve this by letting the user press a button which makes the app use the current GPS location to fetch the parking relevant parking restriction and create a notification the day before, reminding the user to move their car. Simple UI and nothing fancy. I've also created onboarding that gives relevant information the first time a user open their app. I'm a bit on the fence on what I should do to pass. In my opinion, the functionality is more than a website because it uses GPS, creates notifications, loading spinner when parking restrictions are being fetched, has onboarding, etc. I think an issue that might cause the reviewer to dismiss it is that it currently only work in my specific town - it uses certain APIs to fetch the parking restrictions. So, should I try to create more functionality (not sure what) or do I need to clearly argue my case and demo my apps functionality via recordings? Thanks in advance for any help and guidance :)

Vision OS Persona
I’m seeing a camera/capture routing issue on visionOS when multiple WindowGroups are open at the same time. I have a SwiftUI view that starts an AVCaptureSession on onAppear and stops it on onDisappear. The camera feed is displayed in a subview that only exists inside one window. However, when I open additional windows (other WindowGroups) in the same app, the camera perspective/route changes unexpectedly — it looks like the capture is being re-associated with a different scene/window, even though the camera view never moved and no other view starts capture. Expected behavior Opening additional windows should not affect the active capture session or camera routing for the existing camera view. The camera feed should remain stable and tied to the window hosting. Actual behavior When multiple windows are open, the camera feed “switches perspective” / appears to re-route, as if the system changes which scene is considered active for capture. This happens without any explicit code calling startSession() again and without the camera view being present in the other windows. Additional context This app is running in an unbounded scene and uses Unity PolySpatial.

SwiftUI mysterious behavior
Hello dear developers! Recently, I stumbled upon some really strange behavior of SwiftUI and I’m very curious why it works this way struct ContentView: View { @State private var title: String? @State private var isSheetPresented: Bool = false var body: some View { Button("Hello, world!") { title = "Sheet title" isSheetPresented = true } .sheet(isPresented: $isSheetPresented, content: { if let title { Text(title) } else { EmptyView() } }) } } Why in this case when we tap the button and sheet comes in we go to the branch else even though we set title before isSheetPresented but it still somehow nil But what really drive me crazy is that if we change a little bit code to this: I just added another @State property 'number' and use it as the Button's title. In this scenario it works 😃 and Text in the sheet view appearing struct ContentView: View { @State private var title: String? @State private var number = 0 @State private var isSheetPresented = false var body: some View { Button("\(number)") { title = "Sheet title" number += 0 isSheetPresented = true } .sheet(isPresented: $isSheetPresented, content: { if let title { Text(title) } else { EmptyView() } }) } } Is this somehow related to what happens under the hood like View Tree and Render Tree (Attribute Graph)? Maybe because ContentView’s body doesn't capture title it cannot be stored in the Render Tree so it always would have the initial value of nil? if there are any well-informed folks here, please help me figure out this mystery, I’d appreciate it!!! p.s. Don’t get me wrong. Im not interested in how to make it work. I’m interested in why this doesn’t work and what really happens under the hood that led to this result

Lighting disabled inside PortalComponent in Progressive/Full Immersion (visionOS 26.2)
Hello, I am experiencing an issue where lighting is disabled within a Portal Component specifically when using Progressive or Full Immersion styles in visionOS 26.2. [Steps to Reproduce] Create a scene in Reality Composer Pro with custom lighting (Directional Light, IBL, etc.) and load it as an Entity. Add a PortalComponent to this Entity. Observe the Entity in an ImmersiveSpace under different Immersion Styles. [Observed Behavior] Mixed Immersion: Lighting works as expected.Progressive / Full Immersion: Lighting is disabled, causing the content to render incorrectly. [Additional Context] Without PortalComponent: The same Reality Composer Pro scene renders lighting correctly across all Immersion Styles (Mixed, Progressive, and Full).Regression: In applications built with Xcode 16.4 / visionOS 2.5, lighting inside the Portal functioned correctly. This issue appears to have emerged with Xcode 26.2 and visionOS 26.2. [Questions] Is the disabling of lighting inside Portals during Full/Progressive Immersion an intended architectural change or optimization in visionOS 26.2? Are there any workarounds, such as specific PortalComponent configurations or new API flags, to re-enable lighting in these immersion modes? Thank you.

Missing Icon. The Info.plist key CFBundleIcons.CFBundleAlternateIcons c
Missing recommended icon. The bundle does not contain an alternate app icon for iPhone / iPod Touch of exactly '120x120' pixels, in .png format for iOS versions >= 10.0. To support older versions of iOS, the icon may be required in the bundle outside of an asset catalog. Make sure the Info.plist file includes appropriate entries referencing the file. See https://developer.apple.com/documentation/bundleresources/information_property_list/cfbundleicons (90890) Missing Icon. The Info.plist key CFBundleIcons.CFBundleAlternateIcons contains an entry “newIcon” that references asset “newIcon.” No such asset is present in the asset catalog. (90895) I configured multiple icon settings in Xcode 26 version. I added new Icons in the asset file. However, after packaging and uploading the app to the AppStore, it kept giving me an error message saying that some content was missing. Looking at the documentation, it doesn't seem to say that starting from Xcode 13, we can configure through the asset file?

Memory leak in CarPlay when using CPListImageRowItem
Memory leak in CarPlay when using CPListImageRowItem. The following behavior was observed in the CPListTemplate class when using CPListImageRowItem: If a CPListImageRowItem cell is inserted into the screen, the screen starts to leak, even if it contains no elements (CPListImageRowItem(titleList: nil, imagesRow: [], titlesRow: []). Replacing CPListImageRowItem with CPListItem stops the leak. Using the new initializer for iOS 26 does not correct the issue; the screen still leaks. App is stuck in "Waiting for review" for more than a month, going past my launching deadline
Hi, I'm here hoping for some help or advice in terms of a critical situation I'm currently facing. I've submitted an iOS app more than one month ago, it was quickly got review and rejected twice, and when I re-submit the third time with new build, it then was stuck in the "Waiting for review" status for about 3 weeks. Then, I decided to withdraw the submission and re-submit again, but it doesn't work and remain "Waiting for review" status until now. During these waiting period, I’ve contacted Apple Support multiple times through mails, and received confirmation that my expedited review request was approved. However, no progress has been made since then. Here is a quick summary of the timeline Initial submission: July 29, 2025 Rejected due to Guideline 4.2.2 & 2.1: July 30, 2025 Second submission: Aug 4, 2025 Rejected due to Guideline 4.2.2 & 4.2.0: Aug 6, 2025 Third submission: Aug 6, 2025 Withdraw third & create forth submission: Aug 25, 2025 If anyone from the App Review team sees this post, or if any developers have experienced a similar situation and can offer advice, we would be truly grateful. Thank you in advance for your time and support.

WebView on macOS
Hello everyone, I am currently working on integrating a WebView into my macOS application, intended to allow users to browse tutorial webpages directly within the app. Although I’ve followed an example that appears syntactically correct, the WebView does not render any webpage content. Below is a code snippet for reference: import SwiftUI import WebKit struct HelpWebView: View { @State private var toggle = false @State private var page = WebPage() private var url: URL { toggle ? URL(string: "https://www.webkit.org")! : URL(string: "https://www.swift.org")! } var body: some View { WebView(page) .onAppear { page.load(URLRequest(url: url)) } .onChange(of: toggle) { page.load(URLRequest(url: url)) } .toolbar { Button("Reload", systemImage: "arrow.clockwise") { toggle.toggle() } } } } I would greatly appreciate any insights or suggestions on what might be causing this issue or how to resolve it. Thank you in advance for your help!

Are there workarounds for these bugs in Xcode?
Are there workarounds for the following bugs in Xcode 16.3? I'm looking for workarounds instead of trying newer versions of Xcode because, from what I read, the Xcode release notes do not mention these issues being fixed. First bug: Resizing a NSSplitView in the UI Editor is buggy. When you try to use the divider, it just does not work as expected. In the case of a vertical split, the bottom view gets shrunk whatever you try to do. Second bug: When you type: (IBAction) in the source editor, you get the following buggy template (extra ')' on the right): - (IBAction)<#selector#>:(id)sender)

ASWebAuthenticationSessionWebBrowserSessionHandling begin callback not called for custom web handler app
I'm building a macOS app that registers itself for HTTP(S) url handling and would like it to participate in the ASWebAuthenticationSession fow. I did: update the plist to register as a handler for URL shemes (http, https, file) use NSWorkspace setDefaultApplication API to set this app as a default handler for urls in question wrote custom ASWebAuthenticationSessionWebBrowserSessionHandling implementation and set it as SessionManager's sessionHandler I launched this app from Xcode, then I triggered authentication flow from a third-party app. When the sign in flow is initiated, I can see that my app is activeated (willBecomeActive and didBecomeActive callbacks are both called), but there is no call for sessionHandler's begin() method. With some additional debugging I see that my app receives an apple event when the flow is started: {sfri, auth target=SafariLaunchAgent {qntp=90/$627......},aapd=TRUE If I switch system default browser back to Safari and then start the login flow, it correctly displays a sign in web page. What do I miss? PS. I'm on Tahoe 26.2

Im getting this specific error 'Apple 403 detected - Access forbidden' when trying to build my app, my previous 10 builds all succesfully work but now it keeps on giving this error. I'm guessing its because of a new agreement email I recieved. But when i got to both developer website and app store connect there is no new agreements to accept. I'm quite stuck.
