AlarmKit - Behaviors when dismissing alarms
Hi Team, We've been developing our application with the fairly new AlarmKit. We are using the stopIntent to run some quick logic when the user stops the alarms. The stopIntent is a LiveActivityIntent and works well when the user presses the button the dismiss button on the alarm. But unfortunately we've realized some interesting behavior in the following two cases: In case the alarm fires while the user has unlocked their screen and they do things on the screen, the alarm is dismissed (and stopped), but the stopIntent is not executed. In case the alarm fires while the user has unlocked their screen and they swipe up the Live Activity banner, the alarm is also dismissed (and stopped), but again the stopIntent is not executed. I've tried to look up for some information, but could not find anything meaningful for this specific case. We're wondering if that is something that is planned to get fixed in the future, or maybe there's a workaround. We've tried also alternative - listening to alarm updates via the AlarmManager, but we are not very eager to create listener task for it, also the alarm state does not provide updates for dismissed. Thanks!

Can't find IAP/Subscriptions section for new build
Hello communities, I am going to submit a new binary build with subscriptions. However, I cannot find the In-App Purchases and Subscriptions section like before. Is there any update on this? Despite the fact that the subscriptions were accepted and banking & agreements were set up, I still can't figure out how to include them in the binary build. Thanks for the advice.

CKShare(rootRecord:) Returns Share with Nil Root Even When All CloudKit Best Practices Followed (iOS 26.2.1)
I’m seeing an issue with CloudKit sharing in iOS 26.2.1: When I call CKShare(rootRecord:) with a brand-new record in a fresh custom zone, the share is created with no root attached (rootFromShare == nil). After saving both the root and share in a single CKModifyRecordsOperation, fetching the share from the server still shows no root reference (rootRecordID == nil). No errors are thrown, but sharing simply fails. Key facts: • Custom zone created and confirmed (sharing enabled, capsRaw=7/15) • Brand-new record type and fresh IDs each run • Never reusing records or shares • Saving both root and share together in one operation • No default zone usage; always custom private zone Tested: • Multiple devices, iCloud accounts, and app versions • Both simulator and physical device Debug logs consistently show: • SHARE_CREATE_SHARE_LOCAL ... rootFromShare=nil • After save/fetch: rootRecordID=nil on server Has anyone seen this? Is there a new CloudKit regression in iOS 26.x, or am I missing something subtle? Minimal sample project and full debug logs available if needed. Any insights or workarounds would be hugely appreciated!

How can I set up a B2B subscription with ABM + MDM + Paywall
I am looking for guidance on how people have solved this problem/use case. What is the best way to structure a seat based subscription app that an organization can pay for seats for all their users, can be distributed via mdm or via app store and is easy (low friction) to get paid for and started for small companies? I market to a business to buy my app, they want it installed on all 25 devices they have. They use ABM to acquire 25 licenses with and MDM to distribute. The app is currently free to download so ABM charges $0 but has a paywall to use. The paywall is a RevenueCat one and no user account is needed. All entitlements and free trial work great. When it is deployed to the 25 devices, they can either sign up with their own AppleId and own/company credit card, or use a company appleid and company card for all 25 devices to solve the issue but neither are great. Doubtful they would want to pay their money for a company required app on a company phone (don’t blame them). If they share an appleid, my MRR drops to 1/25th since they will just share the purchase. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Big suggestion for the improvements to “Filter unknown calls”:
Hi, I have a big suggestion for the next update! My suggestion is to upgrade the call filtering system : - “Block suspicious calls” It automatically block numbers that are likely to be unwanted or spam. These calls should not ring, should not appear in the call history, and should be silently discarded. - “Block unknown callers/hidden numbers” Instead of receiving a call from a hidden or unknown caller and seeing it appear in the missed calls list, the call should be completely blocked and not recorded at all, no notification, no sight of call. - “Filter numbers that are not from contacts” If the same unknown number calls too frequently within a week and the user never answers (for example 10 times per day, or 5 times per day if considered suspicious or too much spam in a little time), the iPhone should automatically block this number. The device would display a message such as: “This number has called too many times and has been automatically blocked for 3 day(or 1 week).” The block could also apply to the entire IP range or source associated with the unknown caller. It is very helpful for most of unwanted calls.

Question Regarding Screenshot Submission
This is probably a silly question, but I just want to make sure. The screenshot submission states: "Upload three screenshots of your app playground that best represent the user experience as .png or .jpg files. Do not upload handwritten notes, sketches, or outlines." For an Apple Pencil based app, can I sketch in the canvas to show the abilities of the app in the screenshots? I assume yes and that this only refers to submitting mock-ups of apps, but I wanted to be super sure I won't be going against the rules.

Expected behavior of searchDomains
Based on https://developer.apple.com/documentation/networkextension/nednssettings/searchdomains , we expect the values mentioned in searchDomains to be appended to a single label DNS query. However, we are not seeing this behavior. We have a packetTunnelProvider VPN, where we set searchDomains to a dns suffix (for ex: test.com) and we set matchDomains to applications and suffix (for ex: abc.com and test.com) . When a user tries to access https://myapp , we expect to see a DNS query packet for myapp.test.com . However, this is not happening when matchDomainsNoSearch is set to true. https://developer.apple.com/documentation/networkextension/nednssettings/matchdomainsnosearch When matchDomainsNoSearch is set to false, we see dns queries for myapp.test.com and myapp.abc.com. What is the expected behavior of searchDomains?

protocol witness error in Playgrounds
I'm importing SwiftUI, Foundation and Charts into an iOS app I'm writing in Swift in Xcode Playgrounds and am getting this error: error: Couldn't look up symbols: protocol witness table for Foundation.Date : Charts.Plottable in Charts the code looks like this in just two example files: file 1, the view import Foundation import SwiftUI import Charts import PlaygroundSupport struct FirstChart_WithDates: View { private let data = ChartDateAndDoubleModel.mockData(months: 3) var body: some View { Chart(data) { item in BarMark( x: .value("Label", item.date, unit: .month), y: .value("Value", item.value) ) } .padding() .aspectRatio(1, contentMode: .fit) .dynamicTypeSize(.accessibility1) ChartDateAndDoubleModelView(data: data) } } struct ChartDateAndDoubleModelView: View { var data: [ChartDateAndDoubleModel] var body: some View { VStack { HeaderRowView(texts: ["date", "value"]) ForEach(data) { datum in HStack { Text(datum.date.formatted(date: .abbreviated, time: .omitted)) .frame(maxWidth: .infinity) // TODO: Format for 2 decimal places. Apple 403 detected - Access forbidden
Im getting this specific error 'Apple 403 detected - Access forbidden' when trying to build my app, my previous 10 builds all succesfully work but now it keeps on giving this error. I'm guessing its because of a new agreement email I recieved. But when i got to both developer website and app store connect there is no new agreements to accept. I'm quite stuck. Any help appreciated. Thanks

Error generating domain certificate
I’m having an issue verifying a domain for a Merchant ID. I’m implementing Apple Pay on the web for a demo, and I’ve configured the Azure server to match Apple’s requirements for domain verification, such as the TLS configuration, not requiring client certificates, and ensuring there are no redirects. I’ve run tests with OpenSSL and PowerShell and all responses return HTTP/1.1 200 OK. I also tested the URL Apple says it uses to validate the file under .well-known, and it does show the expected result. I already have the Apple Pay Payment Processing Certificate and the Apple Pay Merchant Identity Certificate approved; the only thing missing is the domain verification. I’m not sure what else to test—if you could help me with a possible solution, I’d really appreciate it. (The project is built in .NET 8 and hosted on Azure App Service.)

Cloud signing: Validation failed (409) Invalid Signature. Code failed to satisfy specified code requirement(s)
I'm attempting to use Cloud Signing to export the Release version of 3 different apps for App Store, as described in https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2021/10204/ The process completes successfully, and appears to be signed correctly, with a newly-created certificate in the developer portal of type "Distribution Managed". When I upload to App Store Connect however, I see the following error for several third-party Swift packages, distributed as frameworks: Validation failed (409) Invalid Signature. Code failed to satisfy specified code requirement(s). The file at path “MyApp.app/Frameworks/MyFramework.framework/MyFramework” is not properly signed. Make sure you have signed your application with a distribution certificate, not an ad hoc certificate or a development certificate. Verify that the code signing settings in Xcode are correct at the target level (which override any values at the project level). Additionally, make sure the bundle you are uploading was built using a Release target in Xcode, not a Simulator target. If you are certain your code signing settings are correct, choose “Clean All” in Xcode, delete the “build” directory in the Finder, and rebuild your release target. For more information, please consult https://developer.apple.com/support/code-signing. If I have a manually created Distribution certificate installed in the keychain at the point of export, the same archive is signed with that certificate, and is accepted by App Store Connect without issue. The xcodebuild command I am using (roughly): xcodebuild -exportArchive \ -archivePath "$ARCHIVE_PATH" \ -exportPath "$EXPORT_PATH" \ -exportOptionsPlist "$EXPORT_OPTIONS" \ -authenticationKeyPath "$API_KEY" \ -authenticationKeyID "$API_KEY_ID" \ -authenticationKeyIssuerID "$API_KEY_ISSUER" \ -allowProvisioningUpdates The plist: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "<http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd>"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>method</key> <string>app-store-connect</string> <key>teamID</key> <string>$TEAM</string> <key>uploadSymbols</key> <true/> <key>signingStyle</key> <string>automatic</string> </dict> </plist> Is what I’m trying to do supported? Is this a bug?

Can I use combine on a property in an @Observable class?
As the title suggests, I have a class marked with @Observable. Within the class I have multiple var's. When one of my var's changes (formation), I want to run an updateOrCreateContent(). I had thought I could just do this with a bit of combine, but I'm struggling to get it working... The code below has a compile error at $formation When I mark formation @Published, it generates a different compile error: "Invalid redeclaration of synthesized property '_formation'" any help appreciated thanks class LayoutModel { var players: [Player] = [] var formation: Formation = .f433 var cancellables = Set<AnyCancellable>() init(players: [Player], formation: Formation) { self.players = players self.formation = formation updateOrCreateContent() $formation.sink(receiveValue: { _ in self.updateOrCreateContent() }) .store(in: &cancellables) }

String Catalog Symbols: No Reference-Language Fallback for Partially Translated Locales
I'm having troubles converting my string catalog to symbols because for partly translated languages there is no fallback to the reference language. Let me give you an example. Example Assume an app that supports two languages: English and Japanese. The app is very simple and has only two strings, using symbols in a String Catalog: Key: .helloWorld → “Hello World!” Key: .info → “Information” Case 1: No Japanese translations If I launch the app in Japanese and neither string is translated, English is used as a fallback. The UI shows: “Hello World!” “Information” This is exactly what I would expect. Case 2: Only one string translated Now assume I translate only one string into Japanese: .helloWorld → “こんにちは世界” When I launch the app in Japanese now: .helloWorld correctly shows “こんにちは世界” .info shows info, not “Information” So instead of falling back to English, the key is displayed. This issue does not pop up when I don't use symbols. Because then, my SwiftUI Text elements contain the English ideal text as a (kind of) key. I assume for commercial apps all strings are always translated into all supported languages. But this is not the case for apps where translations happens through crowd translations. Check the following link. There you will see that only English (reference language) and German (my native language) are 100% translated. Others will follow over time. https://poeditor.com/join/project/J2Qq2SUzYr For now, I guess I'll have to avoid symbols. Or is there a better way to handle this?

Why isn’t my app showing up in App Store search results?
I recently released the first version of my app, and it was discoverable via App Store search. After pushing an update with bug fixes and improved keywords/category, the new version went live and showed as “Ready for Sale” within hours. However, since the update, the app no longer appears in App Store search results - even when searched using its exact name. It’s still accessible through the direct link. Any insights or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Accept a Review Rejection Defeat or Play Along with Reviewer
I have a desktop application developed in SwiftUI that shows property locations on the map. That's NOT the main feature. IF you give the application permission to access your location, the blue dot will appear on the map. If you don't, the blue user dot won't appear. That's the only difference with location services. In other words, the application has no use of user's current position beyond showing it on the map. Since it's just the matter of showing or not showing the blue dot on the map, the application doesn't really need to use the location service. Anyway, the reviewer is talking about something else by rejecting the application in two aspects. Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage Guideline 5.1.5 - Legal - Privacy - Location Services As I said earlier, the application only wants to show the blue dot on the map so that you can see your property locations relative to your current location. In code, it's something like the following. Map(position: $propertyViewModel.mapPosition) { ForEach(propertyViewModel.properties) { property in Annotation("", coordinate: CLLocationCoordinate2D(latitude: property.lat, longitude: property.lon)) { ... } } UserAnnotation() } So I'm hit with two rejection reasons with this one line. UserAnnotation() And the reviewer is talking about something like the app is not functional when Location Services are disabled. To resolve this issue, please revise the app so that the app is fully functional without requiring the user to enable Location Services. Well, I can remove the UserAnnotation() line if I want to put this application through the review process. Nothing will become dysfunctional, though, if you decide to reject permission request. So would you remove it or would you play along with this reviewer if you were me? It's been three or four days since rejection. As you can imagine, the reviewer doesn't bother to answer as to What are the exact coordinates that the application has allegedly collected What won't work as a result of location permission request refusal. This isn't the first time I get my app rejected. I've probably had 150 to 200 of them rejected in the past 15 years. And just because a reviewer rejects your app for a bizarre reason, would you give in? Remove this feature and that feature because the reviewer is incompetent such that he or she makes his or her decision based on imagination? What do you think?

Smooth appearance switching
Hello every developers. I need your help. Do you know how to attach animation to appearance, like a smooth transition from dark to light and vise versa. My code here: @main struct The_Library_of_BabelonApp: App { @AppStorage("selectedAppearance") private var selectedAppearance = 0 @StateObject private var router = AppRouter() var scheme: ColorScheme? { if selectedAppearance == 1 { return .light } if selectedAppearance == 2 { return .dark } return nil } var body: some Scene { WindowGroup { RootView() .preferredColorScheme(scheme) .environmentObject(router) // this is doesn't work correctly .animation(.smooth(duration: 2), value: selectedAppearance) } } } And my appearance switching looks: struct SettingsView: View { @AppStorage("selectedAppearance") private var selectedAppearance = 0 var body: some View { List { Section(header: Text("Appearance")) { HStack(spacing: 20) { ThemePreview(title: "Light", imageName: "lightTheme", tag: 1, selection: $selectedAppearance) ThemePreview(title: "Dark", imageName: "darkTheme", tag: 2, selection: $selectedAppearance) ThemePreview(title: "System", imageName: "systemMode", tag: 0, selection: $selectedAppearance) } .padding(.vertical, 10) .frame(maxWidth: .infinity) } } } } struct ThemePreview: View { let title: String let imageName: String let tag: Int @Binding var selection: Int var body: some View { Button { selection = tag } label: { VStack { Image(imageName) .resizable() .aspectRatio(contentMode: .fill) .frame(width: 120, height: 80) .clipShape(RoundedRectangle(cornerRadius: 12)) .overlay( RoundedRectangle(cornerRadius: 12) .stroke(selection == tag ? Color.blue : Color.clear, lineWidth: 3) ) Text(title) .font(.caption) .foregroundColor(selection == tag ? .blue : .primary) } } .buttonStyle(.plain) } } I guess my code works but animation working another way, its turn my Section, I don't know.... Thank you in advance

Big probelms loging into apple account
Hi there, I'm trying to build my APP with EAS, unfortunately I can't log in the 2FA. I get the call from apple giving me the 2FA code and I enter it correctly but if gives me an error. So I read if I connect it to my laptop (macbook) it should work. However I try to connect my account to my macbook I just get another error: Verification failed Verification codes cannot be sent to this phone number at this time. Please try again later. I suspect it is because I get the codes via voice call and not SMS. However: 1. I can't log into my account anymore as the 2FA always fails now. 2. I can't get SMS on my number. 3. I can't change number, there is also always an unknown error if I try that. This is pretty frustrating especially given I already paid the 100€ for the developer account.
