Hello,
I am having a recurring issue using Swift Playgrounds version 4.6.4 on macOS 26.1.
Upon opening a file and every other time I start typing in the code section I get a prompt, the image below, two or three times. It doesn't matter if I accept or decline all or some of the prompts, as soon as I start typing on another line I get prompted another two or three times for permission.
It appears to me that prompt generates every time the preview pane tries to update. Declining the prompt breaks the preview but accepting the prompt only gets you through a single line of code before it appears again.
I believe this issue started after I updated to macOS26.1 as I had not encountered it before. I've also opened other files with Swift Playgrounds and encounter the same problem.
It could also be unrelated to the update and could be an issue with some permission setting somewhere, however, I have been unable to find what or where it could be.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Thank you for your time :)

I added my first subscription to my app using StoreKit's SubscriptionStoreView. Everything worked as expected in the debug environment and also in TestFlight. So I submitted my app and subscriptions to App Store Connect, got everything Approved and released.
After updating my app through App Store and checking the Subscription View, it just says "Subscription Unavailable. The subscription is unavailable in the current storefront."
I waited around 3 days and still getting the same message. Now the very strange behavior starts. I went to App Store Connect, I made and edit to the subscription description, saved, removed the edit, saved, and submitted to review. 15 minutes later the subscriptions appear in my app and everything works as expected. After getting the edit approved, the Subscription View in my app again only showed the message "Subscription Unavailable. The subscription is unavailable in the current storefront." No user is able to see the subscriptions anymore, even though it worked as expected before the edit was approved.
So I did the same as before. Again, make an edit to the subscription description, save, remove the edit, save, submit to review. 15 minutes later the subscriptions are again available in my app and it works as expected.
This is definitely not the expected behavior and submitting the subscription edits every day is wasting the App Review Team's time as well as mine. I contacted Apple Developer Support but I didn't get any reply back (at least yet).
I am not the only one experiencing this. I found a friend online who has the exact same issue, and is able to temporarily solve it by making an edit to the subscription description as well.
So far it has been a huge headache, and we are losing customers this way. Please if anyone has experience with this problem, or has any suggestions, they will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much,
Tomas

I am preparing for Swift Student Challenge, but it seems like the iPad Playground app still not support the latest SDK.
I can't use frameworks like FoundationModel, etc., directly in playground app
My playground for this year would require iPad environment since it uses PencilKit, ARKit, etc., and I also want to use the latest tech + the liquid glass UI
Right now, I develop the project as a normal Xcode project, and I am wondering how do I post it?
As Xcode playground, it must run on macOS
As Swift Playground project, the iPad version of Playground does not support latest APIs and it can't compile

Our team is in the process of updating our apps to comply with Texas's new state law.
In order to minimize user confusion and provide the most ideal flow to access the app as possible, we have a few questions we would like answered.
Summary of questions:
Is isEligibleForAgeFeatures intended to be accurate and accessible before the user has accepted the Age Range permissions prompt?
As other US states and/or other countries adopt a similar law going forward, will this instance variable cover those locations?
Will the runtime crashes on isEligibleForAgeFeatures and other symbols in the DeclaredAgeRange framework be addressed in a future RC or in the official release?
Details and Investigations:
With regards to isEligibleForAgeFeatures, our team has noticed that this value is always false before the age range prompt has been accepted. This has been tested on the XCode RC 26.2 (17C48).
Assuming the request needs to be accepted first,
isEligibleForAgeFeatures does not get updated immediately when the user chooses to share their age range (updated to true, when our sandbox test account is a Texas resident). Only upon subsequent relaunches of the app does this return a value that reflects the sandbox user's location. Is isEligibleForAgeFeatures intended to be accurate and accessible before the user has accepted the Age Range permissions prompt?
This leads to our follow-up question to clarify whether isEligibleForAgeFeatures explicitly correlates to a user in an affected legal jurisdiction–if future US states and/or other countries adopt a similar law going forward, will this instance variable cover those locations?
Can we also get confirmation about whether the runtime crash on isEligibleForAgeFeatures and other symbols in the DeclaredAgeRange framework will be addressed in a future RC or in the official release?
Thank you.
Hello!
I've been trying to automate tests using Appium/XCUITests in a React Native APP, but I'm finding many blockers.
They are related to the amount of nested elements in the "DOM" in which the XCUItest can not go deeper to get all the elements we need.
snapshotMaxDepth -> The XCUITest does not support more than 60 value, otherwise it returns the following error:
Got response with status 404: {"value":{"error":"stale element reference","message":"The previously found element "Application 'xyz.xxx.xxx'" is not present in the current view anymore. Make sure the application UI has the expected state. Original error: Error kAXErrorIllegalArgument getting snapshot for element <AXUIElementRef 0x600003aaf750> {pid=95967} {uid=[ID:1 hash:0x0]}","traceback":"(\n\t0 CoreFoundation 0x00007fff20405604 __exceptionPreprocess + 242\n\t1 libobjc.A.dylib 0x00007fff201a4a45 objc_exception_throw + 48\n\t2 WebDriverAgentLib 0x000000010a3caa53 -[XCUIElement(FBUtilities) fb_takeSnapshot] + 723\n\t3 WebDriverAgentLib 0x000000010a3cad07 -[XCUIElement(FBUtilities) fb_snapshotWithAttributes:maxDepth:] + 183\n\t4 WebDriverAgentLib 0x000000010a37baea +[FBXPath writeXmlWithRootElement:indexPath:elementStore:includedAttributes:writer:] + 778\n\t5 WebDriverAgentLib 0x000000010a37b12c +[FBXPath xmlRep...
But if I inform less than 60, the XCUITest is not able to get all the elements we need to automate:
There are many threads about this, all of them the issue is in the XCUITest:
https://github.com/appium/appium/issues/14825
https://discuss.appium.io/t/handling-staleelementreferenceexception/35095/11
https://github.com/appium/appium/issues/18085

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/74235441/appium-cant-reach-elements-in-ios-source-tree-they-are-too-deep-works-fine-in
Tested all possible solutions suggested in the threads, but I will have the issue.
NSWindow objects with custom styleMask configurations seem to behave erratically in macOS Tahoe 26.3 RC.
For example an NSWindow is not resizable after issuing .styleMask.remove(.titled) or some NSWindow-s become totally unresponsive (the NSWindow becomes transparent to mouse events) with custom styleMask-s.
This is a radical change compared to how all previous macOS versions or the 26.3 beta3 worked and seriously affects apps that might use custom NSWindows - this includes some system utilities, OSD/HUD apps etc, actually breaking some apps.
Such fundamental compatibility altering changes should not be introduced in an RC stage (if this is intentional and not a bug) imho.
Hi, I have a completely new release of my app coming out with a new tech stack. I noticed that only 1% of my users were on iPad so the new app was not created to be 'compatible' with iPad including how it looks on iPad. Can I release this new version of the app only for iPhone? Or because it was previously available for iPad I have to release for iPad as well?
Really appreciate any support/guidance on this.
Thank you!
Hi there,
I recently updated to the latest version of macOS Tahoe 26.3.
Since then, Xcode is not able to resolve my Swift Package dependencies anymore. We use SSH for all our Github hosted packages. When package resolution is running, we randomly have Failed to verify SSH fingerprint on some remote package.
Nothing has changed and it worked perfectly with Tahoe 26.2. The SSH have been reconfigured and known hosts have been verified.
Is something changed between those 2 versions or is it a bug ?
Hi All, We are facing App Rejection from Apple due to this -
Guidelines 5.1.1(i) - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and 5.1.2(i) - Legal - Privacy - Data Use
Issue Description
The app appears to share the user’s personal data with a third-party AI service but the app does not clearly explain what data is sent and identify who the data is sent to before sharing the data.
Apps may only use, transmit, or share personal data after they meet all of the following requirements:
Disclose what data will be sent
Specify who the data is sent to
Obtain the user’s permission before sending data
Identify in the privacy policy what data the app collects, how it collects that data, all uses of that data, and confirm any third party the app shares data with provides the same or equal protection
Next Steps
If the app sends user data to a third-party AI service, revise the app to explain what data is sent and identify who the data is sent to before sharing personal data with a third-party AI service.
If it does not already, the app’s privacy policy must also identify what data the app collects, how it collects that data, and all uses of that data, including if it is shared with a third-party AI service.
If the app does not send user data to a third-party AI service or does not include a third-party AI service, reply to this rejection to confirm and add this information to the App Review Information section of App Store Connect.
We have updated on privacy policy and ATT as well as Nutrition Labels and we have added a consent screen for explicitly taking the user consent for AI Services. However we are still seeing the rejection.
Has some else faced a similar issue and what are the steps they followed for this.
We have a custom SecurityAgentPlugin that is triggered by multiple authorizationdb entries. Some customers report that the SecurityAgent process takes window focus even though no UI or windows are displayed.
Our plugin explicitly ignores the _securityAgent user and does not show any UI for that user. However, in macOS 26.1, it appears that the plugin still causes the SecurityAgent to take focus as soon as it is triggered.
Is this a change in macOS 26.1 or a bug? Can we do anything to prevent "focus stealing"?
In the first Xcode 16 beta, none of my SwiftUI previews work - they all just crash on start up.
Has anybody run into this and found a workaround? Have tried all the usual steps of cleaning the project/restarting Xcode.
Hello everyone,
I’m currently experiencing unusually long wait times for app reviews and wanted to check if others are seeing similar delays this week.
Here is the current status of my submissions:
App Store Update: Stuck in "Waiting for Review" much longer than the typical 24–48 hour window.
New Version: A newly submitted version also seems to be stalled in the initial phase.
TestFlight Processing: Even TestFlight builds are taking longer than usual to process.
Expedited Review: I've attempted an expedited review request and direct communication, but the status remains unchanged so far.
What’s confusing is that I see other apps in the same category receiving updates, so I’m unsure if this is a localized technical glitch or a broader delay affecting a specific group of developers.
I’m not looking to escalate anything just yet; I’m simply trying to gauge if this is a widespread issue at the moment. I would greatly appreciate any insights into your recent experiences or if you've noticed similar patterns over the last few days.
Thanks in advance, and good luck to everyone with pending submissions! 🙂

When you use .navigationTransition(.zoom(sourceID: "placeholder", in: placehoder)) for navigation animation, going back using the swipe gesture is still very buggy on IOS26. I know it has been mentioned in other places like here: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/796805?answerId=856846022#856846022 but nothing seems to have been done to fix this issue.
Here is a video showing the bug comparing when the back button is used vs swipe to go back: https://imgur.com/a/JgEusRH
I wish there was a way to at least disable the swipe back gesture until this bug is fixed.
I have a file that can not be removed. When I attempt rm -f /Applications/CrashPlan.app I get "Operation not permitted"Here is the scenario, CrashPlan.app was installed on the MacBook Pro (MacBookPro14,2) running 10.14.4. I found out it was an older version of CrashPlan so I downloaded the installer for the new version and ran it. The installed failed and left behind a file of size 0K.-rw-r--r--@ 1 root admin 0 Apr 11 11:43 CrashPlan.appI then tried to remove the 0K file in terminal with sudo rm -f /Applications/CrashPlan.app and that failed with operation not permitted. I then booted into Recovery mode and ran csrutil disable from terminal and rebooted.sudo rm -f /Applications/CrashPlan.app still failed with operation not permitted.I ran csrutil status in terminal to make sure that sip was disabled and got back: System Integrity Protection status: disabled.I tried booting into single user mode and mounted the drive and tried to rm from there and got the same result. So, from single user mode I did the following:mv /Applications /ApplicationsOLDmkdir /Applicationsmv /ApplicationsOLD/* /Applications/and got an error "Operation not permitted" for CrashPlan.apprebooted and was able to install the new version of CrashPlan, but now I have a folder /ApplicationsOLD that I can not get rid of.Any ideas?
I am looking for some insight into current App Store review times.
The Situation:
I submitted my new app for its first review on February 3rd. It has been sitting in the "Waiting for Review" state for 11 days now and has not moved to "In Review."
The Impact:
We had a major launch event planned for today (Feb 14). We have marketing campaigns live and users waiting, but we have officially missed our launch window because the app is still sitting in the queue.
My Questions:
Is anyone else experiencing wait times this long (10+ days) just to enter the review stage?
How much time does it typically take for a first-time submission to go live once it finally enters review?
Is there any way to flag this delay if it has exceeded the standard 48-hour window?
We are losing marketing budget every hour this is delayed. Any advice on how to get this moving would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I have an app with fairly typical requirements - I need to insert some data (in my case from the network but could be anything) and I want to do it in the background to keep the UI responsive.
I'm using SwiftData.
I've created a ModelActor that does the importing and using the debugger I can confirm that the data is indeed being inserted.
On the UI side, I'm using @Query and a SwiftUI List to display the data but what I am seeing is that @Query is not updating as the data is being inserted. I have to quit and re-launch the app in order for the data to appear, almost like the context running the UI isn't communicating with the context in the ModelActor.
I've included a barebones sample project. To reproduce the issue, tap the 'Background Insert' button. You'll see logs that show items being inserted but the UI is not showing any data.
I've tested on the just released iOS 18b3 seed (22A5307f).
The sample project is here:

Hi — we’re testing our app on iOS 26 and ran into strange behavior with GKLocalPlayer.local.authenticateHandler.
GKLocalPlayer.local.authenticateHandler = { [weak self] viewController, error in
// additional code
}
What happens:
When we assign authenticateHandler on iOS 26 and the user is not signed in to Game Center, the system shows a full-screen Game Center overlay asking the user to sign in.
If the user taps Cancel, nothing further happens — the closure is not invoked again, so we don’t receive an error or any callback. The app never learns whether the auth was cancelled or failed.
In previous iOS versions the closure was called (with viewController / error as appropriate) and the flow worked as expected.
What we tried:
Verified authenticateHandler is being set.
Checked GKLocalPlayer.local.isAuthenticated after the overlay dismisses — it’s unchanged.
Observed system logs: a com.apple.GameOverlayUI scene is created and later removed (so the auth overlay is shown by the system).
Confirmed the same code works on earlier iOS versions.
Question:
Has anyone seen authenticateHandler not being invoked on iOS 26 when the Game Center auth overlay is presented? Could this be a behavioral change in iOS 26 (overlay runs in a separate system process), or a bug? Any suggested workarounds to reliably detect that the user cancelled the sign-in (for example: listening for willResignActive / didBecomeActive, watching for a system overlay, or saving/presenting the viewController manually)?
Thanks in advance for any advice — we’d appreciate pointers or suggested diagnostics ?
When I submit the app to TestFlight beta review I get the error show on UI. (I filled all filed info in Beta Infomation)
There was an error processing your request. Please try again later
I was inspected Safari to see the detailed error and I got the below error.
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 422 ()
and the detailed javascript error
componentStack: undefined
errorCode: undefined
message: "API Response Error: TF_BETA_APP_REVIEW_RESPONSE"
stackTrace: "status code: 422 --- api correlation key: NZEKCTWMNANXDZVTRD3V4GNE3U"
Anyone can tell me the problem and how to fix it.
Many Thanks.
Hello,
I am trying out Xcode Cloud for the first time. I could connect to Github in the initial setup and had a few failed builds (package resolution error), which I resolved fairly quickly.
Now whenever I am trying to build, I get the following error:
Xcode Cloud is unable to connect to the repository “<respository-name>”. Reconnect the repository to resume builds.
I am unable to remove the connection from settings as well because it's stuck in a loading state. Is there a way to fix this?
