Description
I am observing a critical issue when saving burst photos using the Photos Framework. If a burst photo with the same burstIdentifier already exists in the "Recently Deleted" album, any new assets saved via PHAssetCreationRequest are automatically merged into that deleted entry instead of appearing in the main Library or "All Photos."
Environment
Framework: Photos Framework (iOS)
API: [[PHPhotoLibrary sharedPhotoLibrary] performChanges:...]
Code Snippet
The following logic is used to save the burst assets:
[[PHPhotoLibrary sharedPhotoLibrary] performChanges:^{
// 'paths' is a custom object providing the creation request
PHAssetCreationRequest *assetCreationRqst = [paths assetCreationRqst];
assetCreationRqst.favorite = [FavorManager.shared isSetDownloadedAssetFavorite:self.curItem];
PHObjectPlaceholder *placeHolder = assetCreationRqst.placeholderForCreatedAsset;
localIdentifier = placeHolder.localIdentifier;
} completionHandler:^(BOOL success, NSError * _Nullable error) {
if (success) {
// The handler returns success, but the asset is invisible to the user
[weakSelf handleDownloadSuccess:localIdentifier];
}
// ... cleanup and completion ...
}];
Steps to Reproduce
Save a burst photo to the iPhone's built-in Photos app.
Manually delete that burst photo so it moves to the "Recently Deleted" album.
Execute the code above to save the same burst photo (or a new set containing the same burstIdentifier in its metadata).
Check the main Photo Library / "All Photos" view.
Observed Result
The completionHandler returns success = YES, and a localIdentifier is generated.
The photo does not appear in the main Library or "All Photos."
The newly saved photo is silently merged into the existing burst set located inside the "Recently Deleted" folder.
The user cannot see the new photo unless they manually "Restore" the deleted items from the album.
Expected Behavior
PHAssetCreationRequest should always result in a visible asset in the user's Library. Even if a matching burstIdentifier exists in "Recently Deleted," the system should treat the new request as a new independent asset or provide an error, rather than hiding it within a deleted collection.

Hello,
I would like to discuss the behavior of the expiration of NFCPresentmentIntentAssertion (test in iOS 18.5).
In the documentation we have :
The intent assertion expires if any of the following occur:
The intent assertion object deinitializes
Your app goes into the background
15 seconds elapse
BUT; in fact ; only the 1st rule is applied.
The expiration seems to be random after the usage of CardSession and that's difficult to give to the user a good experience.
Has someone faced the same kind of issue; or can give an explanation?
Regards,
François
This is a question as I don't found any related documents or posts anywhere about this. Does anyone know how and when will this "pop up" shown?
Hello!
I've been successfully using StartCalendarInterval in Launch[Agent|Daemon] *.plists for years.
You know the deal: Mac is sleeping when CalendarInterval passes, then launchd runs the job when Mac is awoken. (This behavior is described at the bottom of an Apple doc from 2016 -- exactly how it worked before!)
Recently, behavior has changed: with the computer asleep, when the date/time of the CalendarInterval passes, macOS runs the job! Even when "sleeping".
However, it gets stranger: macOS will start a job when sleeping, but then suspend it in the middle.
I wrote a timestamped log to check this behavior: I see job start, pause in the middle, then resume hours later when a user wakes the computer.
This all makes me think that "sleep" on macOS in the past few years is now defined differently -- perhaps an Apple Silicon change? But I can't find documentation that covers this. Buried in a WWDC video, maybe?
Has anyone else seen this change in launchctl calendar scheduled jobs?
Hello everyone,
I’m looking for some clarity from the community regarding eligibility for the Swift Student Challenge 2026, particularly for students taking a gap year in India.
I graduated from high school (Class XII, CBSE – India) in May 2025. After graduating, I chose to take a gap year to prepare for competitive entrance examinations in India, with the goal of pursuing Computer Science / Engineering. I’ll be applying to accredited universities for programs starting in mid-2026, and I’m not currently enrolled in a college.
My question:
The eligibility guidelines state that high school graduates must have graduated within the past 6 months and must be awaiting acceptance or have received acceptance to an accredited institution. Since the submission deadline is February 28, 2026, my graduation would be about 9 months prior, which puts me in a gray area.
Has anyone here participated in, or seen others participate in, the Swift Student Challenge while taking a gap year and preparing for university entrance exams? Is there any known flexibility or precedent for students in this situation?
I’ve been following the Swift Student Challenge since 2023 and would really love to participate if I’m eligible. Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
I use Iphone 17 wifi to test the device and mobile phone communicate,but I found the wifi disconnect innormal in hign frequency. This situation is only appears in iphone 17 series, iphone 14 and 15 is ok, so I think iphone 17 wifi chip or software has bugs. the local network disconnect in hign frequency.

Good afternoon,
I have the latest version of Xcode. I am trying to debug why I am not able to Sign in with Apple Sign In on my app. After days of trying everything I just noticed today that the TeamID Xcode is using to automatically sign the app is not my current Team Id. I had a years hiatus and my code login expired. When I recreated my account I got a new Team Id and that is what is on all my certificates, profiles, etc. Old team id: Z82SJZ64R6 Current team id: 22649D52Q5. I take off automatically signing and select my Mac app bistro and iOS app distro and the app fully builds then Xcode crashes with an error that mentions security - Error code 5.
Is there a way for me to change the old team id in Xcode? I've already tried logging out and back in through settings.
Does the App Review process have access to Apple-Hosted Asset Packs during review?
My app uses Asset Packs to offer a library of data to the end-user (with a workaround, if unavailable), but I am frequently seeing the workaround screen in App Review with errors I haven't seen elsewhere.
The latest error I encountered (via the App Review team's feedback) was: "A server with the specified hostname could not be found." thrown from (to my belief) AssetPackManager.shared.ensureLocalAvailability.
This is unexpected to me, as both this code as well as the asset packs have already been released and are working reliably in production.
Has anyone else experienced these issues?
My app was reviewed and approved on Feb 3rd, and still does not show in app store.
I have submitted a ticket to Apple Feb 3rd, and still have not received a reply.
I get either 404, or "this app is not available your country or region".
This does it for me, and anyone I've asked to try it.
This is very confusing - please someone help!

From the Feb 24 news, I understand that for all Apple users in Brazil with iOS26.2 and newer, isEligibleForAgeFeatures will eventually return true. Brazil is a "nonregulated region", and developers will need to handle all three situations of ask first/always share/never share.
Please correct me if I'm wrong above. A few questions follow on the eligibility check:
What's the return value of IsEligibleForAgeFeatures for a Brazilian user who has NOT touched the age range feature at all, thus hasn't picked one of the three options?
How can we test these cases? From the updated sandbox doc, there's more information on declined/approved, will those the same behaviors as a future Brazilian user? The doc used to say Texas, now it doesn't say any region.
On which date will Apple START to return true for IsEligibleForAgeFeatures for Brazilian users? I cannot find the exact date anywhere.
Will ALL of Brazil return true overnight, or is there some ramp up that developers need to be aware of?
Thanks a lot for sharing the guidance, and thanks in advance for more guidance to come!
i payment on 6th SEP,its still pending ,cant finish the purchase
I received my approval for FairPlay Streaming (FPS) and was getting things organized and then my computer crashed. So...
Yes, I lost the 32 digit Account Security Key (ASk) that I was warned not to lose repeatedly...
I understand that I can't query apple for the existing ASk. I don't see where I can delete the existing cert to request another one. So I assume I'll need to start from scratch either with another FPS approval process.
Can someone please direct me on next steps for this boneheaded situation.
Thank you
Hello Apple Developer Support,
My app has been stuck in “Waiting for Review” since February 7, and I have submitted multiple inquiries without receiving any response.
This delay has now become extremely concerning. Missing a planned launch due to an indefinite review timeline is very difficult for independent developers.
If there is an issue with the submission, I would appreciate clear communication. If there are review delays, transparency would help us plan accordingly.
I respect the review process, but the lack of updates after this amount of time is frustrating.
I would sincerely appreciate clarification on the status.
I kindly ask for a specific and personalized response regarding my case, as my previous inquiries received only general or automated replies without addressing the actual issue.
Apple ID: 6758804549
Thank you.

Hello,
I'm having a serious problem registering for the Apple Developer Program, and I can't resolve it.
I applied over two weeks ago, but I still haven't received an activation email. I've also tried using different credit cards, suspecting there might be a problem with my payment method.
The main issues are as follows:
My order/registration remains in the "processing" status,
I haven't received an activation email,
Apple Developer Program support isn't responding.
I've already sent over seven emails to support, but haven't received any response or updates.
Has anyone else encountered a similar situation?

I'm currently observing a problem similar to this thread https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/737334
The difference is that this is happening after updating a system extension.
Basically same error, sysextd complains it can not check that the system extension is notarized: macOS Error 3 + Error code=-67050.
I think macOS (Sequoia 15.3.2 or 15.7.2 if it matters) is wrong in this case for the following reasons:
when using spctl assess -t install, the system extension is reported to be correctly notarized.
when restarting the Mac, the updated system extension is correctly checked and staged.
if I run spctl assess before sysextd tries to check the system extension, it works.
I'm currently thinking of 2 reasons why the check does not work:
sysextd is somehow trying to work with a cached assessment that has become invalid after the system extension was updated.
macOS needs way more time between the update of the files and the request to update the staged extension. I tried adding a 5-second delay. This does not seem to work or at least reliably.
I tried just touching the system extension, no positive result. Unfortunately, in macOS Sequoia, it is not possible anymore to reset-default using spctl and see if it solves the issue, at least the next time the update is performed.
[Q] Is there some magic operation that would help macOS correctly check the notarization of an updated system extension?
overflow-x: clip;
will also apply clipping on the Y-axis.
The correct implementation of this should only affect the X-axis.
This is correctly implemented in all browsers except for Safari
It appears that starting with macOS Sequoia, Quick Look Preview extension no longer loads MapKit maps correctly anymore. Map tiles do not appear, leaving users with a beige background.
Users report that polylines do render correctly, but annotations appears black.
This was previously working fine in prior macOS versions including Sonoma.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Create a macOS app project, with an associated document.
Ensure project has a Quick Look preview extension, with necessary basic setups.
Ensure that the extension mentioned in (2) must have a MKMapView. Any other cosmetic changes, etc, does not need to be implemented to observe the base issue. Do note that it has been reported that in addition to the map tiles not loading, annotations don't render correctly as well.
While working with Platform SSO on macOS, I’m trying to better understand how the system handles cases where a user’s local account password becomes unsynchronized with their Identity Provider (IdP) password—for example, when the device is offline during a password change.
My assumption is that macOS may store some form of persistent token during the Platform SSO user registration process (such as a certificate or similar credential), and that this token could allow the system to unlock the user’s login keychain even if the local password no longer matches the IdP password.
I’m hoping to get clarification on the following:
Does macOS actually use a persistent token to unlock the login keychain when the local account password is out of sync with the IdP password? If so, how is that mechanism designed to work?
If such a capability exists, is it something developers can leverage to enable a true passwordless authentication experience at the login window and lock screen (i.e., avoiding the need for a local password fallback)?
I’m trying to confirm what macOS officially supports so I can understand whether passwordless login is achievable using the persistent-token approach.
Thanks in advance for any clarification.

In runtime create metal Executable library from source and Link it with my previous created Dynamic library.
Create compute pipeline using those two libraries created above.

Approx Dec 13th 2025 til now (Dec 29th) I noticed my APNS dropped off to nothing daily. When I try to send APNS alerts on the developer site tool it always returns "discarded as device was offline" for multiple devices which I know are online.
When I try pushing through my VPS (as I always have without any code changes for months) I get status codes of 400 and 403 mostly and a few 200's without it delivering also.
I created a new sandbox certificate just in case it was that but still no luck, I get the same results. Ive checked for any firewall issues and I see the following on my VPS:
nslookup gateway.push.apple.com
Server: 1.1.1.1
Address: 1.1.1.1#53
** server can't find gateway.push.apple.com: NXDOMAIN
This seems like a second issue but not the primary issue that the portal is reporting.
Any ideas what to check? Im at a loss as to why its not working at all through apples test notification portal on my developer account. It seems thats the initial issue I need to solve.
Thank you for any ideas/help
