I'm building a macOS app that registers itself for HTTP(S) url handling and would like it to participate in the ASWebAuthenticationSession fow.
I did:
update the plist to register as a handler for URL shemes (http, https, file)
use NSWorkspace setDefaultApplication API to set this app as a default handler for urls in question
wrote custom ASWebAuthenticationSessionWebBrowserSessionHandling implementation and set it as SessionManager's sessionHandler
I launched this app from Xcode, then I triggered authentication flow from a third-party app.
When the sign in flow is initiated, I can see that my app is activeated (willBecomeActive and didBecomeActive callbacks are both called), but there is no call for sessionHandler's begin() method.
With some additional debugging I see that my app receives an apple event when the flow is started:
{sfri,auth target=SafariLaunchAgent {qntp=90/$627......},aapd=TRUE
If I switch system default browser back to Safari and then start the login flow, it correctly displays a sign in web page. What do I miss?
PS. I'm on Tahoe 26.2

We have run over 15 App Store Events.
I have only ever seen data on 1 of them.
We have several large apps, and based on our numbers, it is unlikely that we don't receive more than 5 installs from the event.
We see an overall CR uplift, but no direct data in the event data section.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this?

This is a successor to:

I went into a slightly different direction. I generated more AI slop that use NSLock. Then I had the NSLock usage changed to Mutex usage. Now it crashes with:
Task 13: EXC_BREAKPOINT (code=1, subcode=0x18d29326c)
On one of the mutex closures. With an extended description:

I put the class, a Subscription nested in its corresponding Publisher operator, in the given file

When I use UIScrollView to Browse photos, sometime was crash.

Hi everyone,
I’m working with UDP Multicasting on iOS (iOS 15+) using Network.framework and facing a confusing issue.
Setup:
Multicast IP: 239.255.0.1
Port: 45454
Using NWConnectionGroup / NWMulticastGroup
NSLocalNetworkUsageDescription is present in Info.plist
Devices are on the same Wi-Fi network
Problem:
Receiving multicast packets works perfectly
Sending multicast packets does NOT work
No errors are thrown
send() completion handler reports success
stateUpdateHandler sometimes doesn’t transition to .ready
No packets are actually transmitted on the network
Observations:
The app can receive data from other multicast senders
Sending appears to be silently blocked
Reinstalling the app fixes the issue
This points to a Local Network permission problem
If permission was denied once, iOS does not re-prompt
Inbound multicast works, outbound multicast is blocked
Questions:
Is it expected on iOS that receiving multicast works even when sending is blocked?
Is reinstalling the app the only way to recover if Local Network permission was denied?
Is there any reliable runtime way to detect that outbound multicast is blocked?
Is NWConnectionGroup the correct and only supported way to send multicast on iOS?
Any clarification or official guidance would really help.
Thanks in advance!

I'm submitting my first macOS app (a native
SwiftUI menu bar app, signed with Developer ID
Application certificate, Hardened Runtime

notarytool submit with keychain profile
authentication.
All 9 of my submissions have been stuck at "In

The very first submission (eeb12389) came back
as Invalid within minutes because Hardened
Runtime wasn't enabled on the binary. I fixed
the build configuration and confirmed
flags=0x10000(runtime) is present on all
subsequent builds. However, every submission
after that fix has been stuck at "In Progress"
with no state transition.
What I've tried
Submitting both .dmg and .zip formats — same
result
Verified notarytool log — returns
"Submission log is not yet available" for all
stuck submissions
Apple Developer System Status page shows the
Notary Service as "Available"
I've also emailed Apple Developer Support
but have not received a response yet
Questions
Is this the expected behavior for a
first-time notarization account? I've seen
other threads mentioning that new accounts may
be held for "in-depth analysis," but 16+
hours with zero feedback seems excessive.
2. Is there any manual configuration Apple
needs to do on their end to unblock my team
for notarization?
3. Should I stop submitting and wait, or is
there something else I can try?
Any guidance from DTS would be greatly
appreciated. This is blocking the release of
my app.
I recently released the first version of my app, and it was discoverable via App Store search. After pushing an update with bug fixes and improved keywords/category, the new version went live and showed as “Ready for Sale” within hours.
However, since the update, the app no longer appears in App Store search results - even when searched using its exact name. It’s still accessible through the direct link. Any insights or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

We received many great questions from the community during Code-along: Experiment with coding intelligence in Xcode 26. Here are the highlights from the questions submitted by the audience during the event.
What models does coding intelligence features support In Xcode?
Xcode integrates directly with ChatGPT and Claude user accounts. You can also configure Xcode to integrate any model provider that supports the Chat Completions API, such as models that you access with an API key. You can also download and run a local model on a Mac with Apple silicon. Setting up coding intelligence provides all of the information you need to get started with Xcode’s direct integration with ChatGPT and Claude, as well as how to set up Xcode to access other providers.
Does Coding Intelligence have access to Apple API and developer documentation? How does it stay up to date with the latest SwiftUI API?
Coding agents are great because they talk to a model, generate code and fix errors, but they also have access to tools, which make a significant difference in their capabilities. Xcode provides tools for the agent to use, including the ability to search Apple’s documentation and, code snippets. As an example, you can ask for a new API that was released in iOS, and if the model doesn't have this knowledge, the agent will call the tool to search for the documentation and bring that context into the conversation.
As an organization, we do not have permission to share our codebase with any AI model due to security reasons. If we enable coding intelligence and give it access to our codebase, will the code be shared with Apple? Will OpenAI or Anthropic have access to my entire project?
Privacy is fundamental to our design. When you connect an AI subscription account (like an account with OpenAI or Anthropic), the connection is only between you and that service. Apple does not act as an intermediary, and never sees the code sent to these services. Because this interaction happens directly between the you and your provider, the security and privacy of your code is determined entirely by your existing agreement with your provider.
What exactly does the agent have access to? Only the files in the scope of the project?
By default, the agent works in the directory of your project, and can access all files in that directory. This includes code file, assets, and your Xcode project configuration file.
Does coding intelligence remember previous conversations?
Each time you start a new conversation window, it resets the context of the conversation, but you can always go back to a previous conversation you had and continue and iterate on a previous idea. If a result contains errors or did not go in a direction you are happy with, you can use the history to go back to any point in time. Writing code with intelligence in Xcode goes into detail on how you can use these features.
For command-line tools (Claude Code, OpenAI Codex), I can create guidelines as Markdown with rules or project descriptions. Does Xcode Agentic Coding take these into account, or should I define them differently?
You can add skills that you’ve created, hints about Xcode and your project to configuration files, and other files supporting your use of coding intelligence such as AGENTS.md or CLAUDE.md files, to the respective Codex and Claude Agent directories that Xcode uses exclusively:
~/Library/Developer/Xcode/CodingAssistant/codex
~/Library/Developer/Xcode/CodingAssistant/ClaudeAgentConfig
For more information on configuring agentic coding tools that run inside Xcode, see Customize the Codex and Claude Agent environments.
How do you add a Model Context Protocol server for the Xcode agent to be able to access?
You can add additional Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers in Xcode with product-specific configuration files so the agents can use those MCP servers from within Xcode. Locate the files needed to configure those additional MCP servers in the same directory where you set other customizations for Codex or Claude Agent, listed above.
Hello,
We have applied for the Apple Developer Program under a government organization account. After submitting the enrollment, we received a confirmation email stating that the request was received and that we would be contacted after verification of authorization to bind the organization to the Apple Developer Program legal agreements.
However, it has been quite some time, and we have not received any further updates regarding the verification process.
We would like to understand:
What is the usual verification timeline for government organizations?
Is extended verification common for government entities?
Is there anything additional we should do from our side to help move the process forward?
If anyone has experienced a similar situation or can share guidance, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
When launching my app (and even a bran new app) on the simulator in debug, the app is installed on the simulator, launched but freezed. Even with a basic hello world app. Any idea?
Missing recommended icon. The bundle does not contain an alternate app icon for iPhone / iPod Touch of exactly '120x120' pixels, in .png format for iOS versions >= 10.0. To support older versions of iOS, the icon may be required in the bundle outside of an asset catalog. Make sure the Info.plist file includes appropriate entries referencing the file. See https://developer.apple.com/documentation/bundleresources/information_property_list/cfbundleicons (90890)
Missing Icon. The Info.plist key CFBundleIcons.CFBundleAlternateIcons contains an entry “newIcon” that references asset “newIcon.” No such asset is present in the asset catalog. (90895)
I configured multiple icon settings in Xcode 26 version. I added new Icons in the asset file. However, after packaging and uploading the app to the AppStore, it kept giving me an error message saying that some content was missing. Looking at the documentation, it doesn't seem to say that starting from Xcode 13, we can configure through the asset file?

Hi!
I would like to experiment with the Accessory Setup Kit, but I am not sure how I can add the required entitlement to my Apple Developer account.
I added the following to the plist file:
NSAccessorySetupKitSupports
WiFi
NSAccessorySetupWiFiSSIDPrefix
test_
test
And the following to the entitlements file:
com.apple.developer.accessory-setup-kit
But I am unable to build as my provisioning profile doesn't include "com.apple.developer.accessory-setup-kit entitlement".
On the developer portal, I navigated to “Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles” > “Identifiers” > “”, but I don't see it under "Capabilities" or "App services", nor under requests.
How do I configure my profile so that I am able to make use of this kit?

I recently had an app rejected for 2.1 - Performance - App Completeness and specifically, “no subscription options available“. The previous build I submitted did have the issue, but this latest one did not, at least as far as I could test. I tested on two different devices using a sandbox account as well as TestFlight and the IAP were visible and working. I also see each IAP pop up correctly within RevenueCat.
One thing that may be an issue is I don’t have the section to attach the IAP onto the build before submitting to review. I’ve read through every help article I could find and have triple-checked everything with the IAP is in order. Pricing, localization, screenshot, review notes, signed agreement, etc. I’ve also tried reaching out several times through the contact us page as well as replied to the review, but haven’t received a response.
Is there anything I could be missing? Is not attaching them to the build the issue and if so, how can I get them to show up without recreating the IAP with new names?
Thank you.
Hi @DTS Engineer
in tvOS 26.2 Beta is still this annoying Shadow Glitch… 😔
I have submitted an Bug-Report, but dont get an Answer… FB18719371
The Animation is not smooth and the Shadow is abruptly „jumping“…
I don’t get any Response from the Apple Engineers. But this GUI Glitch makes the otherwise very high-quality tvOS GUI appear very unprofessional.
Could you please help me? 🤔

As the title says, in apple developer site under (Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles) all my devices are set to inactive, and I cannot enable them back because my twices are glitched I have 2 devices and they are there twice each with the same UDID. So I cannot enable a single one. I’m hit with
“A device with number 'UDID number' already exists on this team.” I have an iPad Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, I cannot sign any apps to them at all or do anything because my devices are set to inactive, I’ve contacted apple numerous times, and I can’t seem to get any help regarding this issue. I’ve called and emailed, and the developer team has yet to respond to me, if anyone’s had this issue please tell me how you solved it.
i also cannot erase any devices myself until my renewal date.
ive tried manually adding my devices, and its the same message that my devices already exist on team. Ive signed out of my apple account on my devices, changed pw, turned off developer mode and renabled it numerous times, I really don’t know what to do.
There is no way to make an instance of UISegmentedControl transparent like it's done in Photos or Camera. Especially it looks wrong when segmented control is put to a Liquid Glass container.
Setting background colour to nil or clear does not help
If a transparent image is set as a background image for state and bar metrics, it kills liquid glass selection and segments started to look wrong
How can the standard gray-ish background can be removed?
Overview
I have the following view hierarchy that mixes SwiftUI and UIKit:
AccordionView
└─ VStack
├─ Text
├─ Button
└─ UIViewRepresentable
└─ UIStackView
├─ UILabel
└─ UILabel
When tapping the button, the UIViewRepresentable hides and shows its content. This all works as expected.
However, in certain circumstances the view's sizing is rendered with the correct size, but the text can often render incorrectly, despite the frame seemingly looking as though it has enough room to render the text.
More info
Below you can see the UILabel has the correct frame height (the light grey background and coloured borders) but the text is rendered as though it has infinite width along one line.
There's a few configurations of my view hierarchy that seem to have this effect.
I've added a playground to the bottom of this post of various configurations to show what does and doesn't work, just copy and paste to see for yourself...
It seems of the ones that don't work, there's a couple of reasons why that may be:
HostedView and TextViewContainer do not do the following (I think we only need to do one of these things for auto layout/stack views to work effectively):
a) implement an intrinsic content size
b) return a 'good' size for systemLayoutSizeFitting().
UIHostingController shouldn't use intrinsic size (although I'm sure it should)
Something related to setting setContentCompressionResistancePriority() or setContentHuggingPriority() but having played about with this it doesn't seem relevant here...
I've played around with everything I can think of here but can't find a solution that works for all, although I'm 99% sure it's one or all of the points above.
If there are any UIKit gurus out there that can help that would be great! Ive already spent so much time on this 🫨
Playground
Swift Playground
I'm sure this is a basic question, but I'm new to this style of development, so thought Id ask...
I've worked through Apple's dice roller demo, so far so good - I'm using the code below to render and roll a single die;
struct DieView: View {
init(dieType: DieType) {
self.dieValue = Int.random(in: 1...dieType.rawValue)
self.dieType = dieType
}
@State private var dieValue: Int
@State private var dieType: DieType
var body: some View {
VStack {
if self.dieType == DieType.D6 {
Image(systemName: "die.face.\(dieValue)")
.resizable()
.frame(width: 100, height: 100)
.padding()
}
else {
Text("\(self.dieValue)")
.font(.largeTitle)
}
}
Button("Roll"){
withAnimation{
dieValue = Int.random(in: 1...dieType.rawValue)
}
}
.buttonStyle(.bordered)
Spacer()
}
}
Again, so far so good - works as I'd expect. I can now also add multiple DieViews to a DiceSetView and they display as I'd expect.
Where I'm stuck is in the DiceSetView, I want to both determine the total score across the dice, and also offer the ability to Roll All the dice in a set. (Ultimately I want another level above the set, so I'll be looking to roll all dice in all sets)
I can't simply call a func / method on the child view (i.e. iterate through them and sum their values, and roll each), I suspect I need to change how it's all structured, but not sure where to go from here...
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I am looking for guidance on how people have solved this problem/use case.
What is the best way to structure a seat based subscription app that an organization can pay for seats for all their users, can be distributed via mdm or via app store and is easy (low friction) to get paid for and started for small companies?
I market to a business to buy my app, they want it installed on all 25 devices they have. They use ABM to acquire 25 licenses with and MDM to distribute. The app is currently free to download so ABM charges $0 but has a paywall to use.
The paywall is a RevenueCat one and no user account is needed. All entitlements and free trial work great. When it is deployed to the 25 devices, they can either sign up with their own AppleId and own/company credit card, or use a company appleid and company card for all 25 devices to solve the issue but neither are great.
Doubtful they would want to pay their money for a company required app on a company phone (don’t blame them). If they share an appleid, my MRR drops to 1/25th since they will just share the purchase.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
