Hello,
Probably a noob question but I can't find any example code around this use case, and really no past questions I could find that address it either.
So, I really love that, when a user taps a POI on the map in my app, the map figures out the right POI every time. Flawless. However, when using .mapFeatureSelectionAccessory, I've tried probably 10-12 iterations, and there doesn't seem to be any way to either:
a) add custom content to the place card that's shown, or
b) replace that place card altogether with a view of my own, or
c) capture the place data but use it in a custom view
I want to be able to leverage the accuracy of Apple's tap gesture detection, but show, for example, only the name of the place, along with buttons and a form I have in a view.
Right now if I'm using .mapFeatureSelectionAccessory, I can't seem to bypass the place card at all.
I cannot access my corporate invoice. I don't know why I couldn't reach it. How and where can I reach it?

Hey there my application allows users to have video calls with each other using Agora. I have successfully set up incoming call functionality on Android but on iOS I am struggling to get the call ui to appear when the app is not running/in background/locked.
To my knowledge this is because there is much stricter security on iOS which is limiting me from calling this. When i initially set it up it worked at first when the app was in the background but I think I was failing to report the call to call kit in time and now it's not working.
I'm not sure if I need access to this entitlement:
com.apple.developer.pushkit.unrestricted-voip
Which i believe is only for the big boys or if I make sure I'm reporting the call to call kit fast enough that I won't encounter this issue and it will consistently work in the background.
Apple multi-peer with 12 devices is unstable. Dear All,
Has anyone tried Apple multi-peer with 12 devices connected? We are building an application relying on multi-peer where 12 Ipads will be updating data and each device needs to share data between. Can anyone tell me if we can use multi-peer framework for connecting 12 devices in the multi-peer network? We are facing stability problems in the connection when we connect 12 devices in the network.
users download app with Streamlined Purchasing ,but the logic of checking subscription doesn't work. there the code:
func checkSubscriptionStatus() async {
for await entitlement in Transaction.currentEntitlements {
guard case .verified(let transaction) = entitlement else { continue }
if transaction.productID == monthlyProductID || transaction.productID == yearlyProductID {
if transaction.revocationDate == nil && !transaction.isUpgraded {
let activeSubscribed = transaction.expirationDate ?? .distantFuture > .now
if activeSubscribed {
hasActiveSubscription = activeSubscribed
// other operation
}
}
}
}
}
I ran into a problem. When using Storekit1 to purchase an SKU, the user payment was successful, but StoreKit1 did return paymentCancelled to my App. I would like to know under what circumstances this problem may occur? How do I fix it? Thank you
Howdy!
I'm in the R&D phase of this project and I need help. I can't find any sources that verify what I want to do is even possible.
I need to connect an iPhone or iPad using a USB cord to an external device which will transfer files to the iPhone or iPad. I have an app already made which can organize the files and whatever else I need to do (app is from a similar project). I'll refer to this device as Alfred (for poops and giggles)
The plan (if possible) is for Alfred to recognize my app and use its documents folder as the destination of the transfer. The iDevice doesn't have to communicate with Alfred, but that would be a bonus.
I don't want Alfred to run on an SOC. My goal is to have it be as simple as possible. No OS, just firmware. If the only way to interact with Apple Devices is Bluetooth or Wifi than so be it. If Matter or Thread could be utilized I wouldn't be apposed.
Any help with this project would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
In my App I want to create a new directory structure in a user selected base directory. In the entitlements com.apple.security.files.user-selected.read-write = true is defined. I call URL.startAccessingSecurityScopedResource( ) and get a true value back. When calling FileManager.createDirectory( at: directoryURL, withIntermediateDirectories: true, attributes: nil ) an error is thrown that write access is missing. User has write permissions in that directory.
When the user selects a directory I store a bookmark via an @AppStorage variable. After write attempt URL.stopAccessingSecurityScopedResource() is called.
I have also implemented a SharedExtension (especially for the Photo app). When user calls the SharedExtension of my app and the app just uses the bookmark stored with @AppStorage and follows the same process as described above no difficulties appear and directories are created as expected.
Changing back to the main app, using again the untouched bookmark and execute the exactly same code as in the first attempt everything works fine and as expected.
The phenomenon appears on real devices but not on simulator.
Any ideas how to solve the issue of having no write access in first attempt?
Hi,
In my application I am donating AppIntent instances that I have to the system using the donate() API. I recently came across this article that talks about deleting donations but it does not mention how to handle AppIntent instances.
I am wondering when working with dynamic AppIntents (with different properties that can change in the future), should I be worried about "outdated" donated AppIntent instances? And if yes how can I delete previously donated AppIntent instances.
As of iOS 18.3 SDK, Core Bluetooth is still mostly an Objective-C framework: key objects like CBPeripheral inherit from NSObjectProtocol and does not conform to Sendable.
CBCentralManager has a convenience initializer that allows the caller to provide a dispatch_queue for delegate callbacks. I want my Swift package that implements Core Bluetooth to conform to Swift 6 strict concurrency checking.
It is unsafe to dispatch the delegate events onto my own actor, as the passed in objects are presumably not thread-safe. What is the recommended concurrency safe way to implement Core Bluetooth in Swift 6 with strict concurrency checking enabled?
I use Homepod Mini as the gateway and have bound 9 Matter lights and 7 Matter switches. Each of my switches has 12 buttons, and each button supports three functions: single click, double click, and long press. Therefore, a total of 252 actions can be configured for 7 * 12 * 3. Currently, a total of 71 actions are configured for the 7 Matter switches. When configuring the 72nd action, the app will prompt that the operation cannot be completed. But if you delete a few previously configured actions, such as 68 actions, then you can configure 3 more actions (69, 70, 71). However, as long as you configure the 72nd action, the app will prompt that the operation cannot be completed, as if the available space is occupied. What is the reason for this?
Hello,
I'm currently working with Smart App Banners and trying to test how they appear and behave on iOS. However, I need to test the Smart Banner in a debug or non-production environment to ensure everything works as expected.
According to the documentation for Smart App Banners (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/webkit/promoting-apps-with-smart-app-banners?language=objc), it appears that the banner only shows in production builds or live apps. Is there any way to trigger or test the Smart Banner in a debug mode or non-production environment?
Any advice or workaround for testing this feature would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance!
Hello all,
I have run into a weird situation in my watchOS app with a companion iOS app.
Issue: Watch fails to receive sendMessage string sent from phone while watch is in foreground. This is not consistent and seems to happen randomly under certain conditions.
Order of operations: User Opens phone app & watch app -> user presses "sendMessage" button, func is called -> watch does not receive message while in foreground
Condition explanation: To my knowledge, without a HealthKit workout session active, the apple watch is not available to receive messages (using any internal library transmission type) from its iOS companion app while the watch screen is not in the foreground (i.e. inactive). However, my issue is that sometimes, while the watch IS in the foreground, it does not receive the companion app's message. Additionally, this is not resolved by force quitting both iOS and watchOS apps. The only way I have gotten this issue to go away is by restarting both the phone and the watch. Again, it is not a consistent behavior and seemingly happens randomly. This behavior has been observed across multiple different beta testers on different hardware.
This is only apparent when transmitting from Phone -> Watch. I have not experienced any transmission issues when transmitting Watch -> Phone.
My team and I have speculated that it could be an issue with WCSession.isReachable returning true before we transmit the message but changing to false before the hardware actually transmits. However, this wouldn't explain why the watch would not be available while in the foreground. This is just a preliminary thought.
My goal in posting on here is to see if anyone else has experienced this, or if it's a known bug.
All message protocols have been coded to follow Apple's WCSession documentation as closely as possible.
Hardware specs:
Watch Model: A2093 (series 5)
WatchOS ver: 10.6.1
Phone: MU693LL/A (15 pro max)
iOS ver: 18.3.2
XCode ver: 16.0
I want a user to be able to save a URL of a folder on a cloud share using the standard FileManager APIs. I'm testing with Dropbox in particular. The initial interaction is working (I can select a folder, save it as a bookmark, and scan the files in that folder). However, no changes made externally to the folder will be reflected in the app when I refresh the contents.
Launching the Files app and browsing to the folder DOES show the updated contents, and once that step is complete, then my app will again show up-to-date contents.
Is there perhaps some API I should be calling to trigger the Dropbox File Provider extension to update it's cache?
Sample project demonstrating issue: https://github.com/dhennessy/FolderScan
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Launch the app on a physical device
Tap Choose, browse to folder on a Dropbox share, tap Open to select
The app will show the contents of the folder (the 'test' folder)
Switch to the Dropbox app and create a new subfolder of the test folder
Return to the test app and tap Refresh. Notice that the changes do not appear
Re-launching the app also does not show the changes
Workaround
Launch the Files app (or re-open the UIDocumentPickerViewController by tapping choose and then dismiss it)
Tap Refresh and the changes will appear in the app
Note: None of the other 'cloud file providers' (google drive, one drive, box) even allow the user to even select a folder.
Hi,
we are trying to verify our domain and we uploaded the file to our domain
{DOMAIN}/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association.txt and we can access it. But when we want verify the domain in your platform we can't do it and you see the message "Domain verification failed". How can we verified or if we need change something in our side to verify it?
thanks!
Widgets on the widget is not responding to the touch properly. This issue is also affecting within the home screen widget in a way that the widget switches to light mode by itself even though I am in dark mode. Additionally, lock screen does not to respond once the lock screen widget has been edited. Is anyone else having this issue?
is there documentation where we can find details for historical parameters / limitations - so far i've found that the days limit on single API calls days limit is 7. Any other similar specs would be good to have
So i created an App and for some time it was working fine. The app has features to show pdf to users without logging in. I needed to upload all data to cloudkit on public database.
I was not having knowledge that there are 2 mode being a noob in coding so after i saved all records in development mode in cloudkit when i published my app, i was not able to see them (Reason because live mode works in Production mode).
So i need help now to transfer data from development mode to production mode or any app or code that can help me upload all data in production mode.

Hi everyone!
I'm trying to get the total sleep time for a given day, but users report that there's a difference between what my app reports and what the Apple Health app reports. In particular, we're off by 2 minutes less on average.
What we're doing is:
Get all the samples that are either core, deep, rem or unspecified
Cut-off time at 3 PM previous day
Merge overlapping intervals
Add all the remaining intervals
For debugging purposes I'm storing and sending all the raw samples to a server, and I have run tests and I don't find anything wrong. It looks like the number we come up with is correct according to our own rules. I wonder, how is Apple adding up all the samples to arrive at a number that's slightly off to our number.
Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.
It seems like find my mac is able to fetch the device location even if the device is in locked state. Why can’t other apps do the same.
