Can someone please help me: I do not have the brain space (85yo) to figure out an Apple Script or Java Script app to do this simple task. I have spent a few hours each day, over several days, and have made zero progress on such an apparently simple task. I wish to create an Automator App for the macOS Safari browser that will schedule (via a Calendar Event) the download of the 48hr data behind the hourly Fuel Mix Plot Data from the AEMO Web Site, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Hi, I've tried many variations of setting up recurringPaymentRequest / defferedPaymentRequest options for ApplePay on Web. I need to set up the Apple Pay payment sheet for it to show "Repayment Details" section and "Authorize Payment Method". However, the bottom section always shows a total (which is not applicable). What are the payment request options that will result in a set up like the below screenshot?

Problem As the title says, Safari lost all my tabs once I updated to macOS 15.4. I do of course have "Safari opens with: All windows from last session" set. This has been my default for many years. Past Mitigation In the past I had a script that I could use to backup ~/Library/Safari that would save all my bookmarks and tabs. Unfortunately they made this method of backup non-function sometime around when tab groups were introduced. Suggestion Fortunately my tab groups are still intact. But this sort of problem doesn't give me a lot of confidence. I haven't had something like this happen in a while, but when it does happen, it's quite frustrating. Apple really needs to recognize that this sort of thing can and will happen and they should make it easier for users to manually save/restore their tabs. Problem with forums To add insult to injury, as I was typing this message in the forum, I decided to select "Edit Bookmarks"... which proceeded to replace the current window with my bookmarks, thereby losing my post! It did this without warning of page content changes (which I get from most other websites). I felt somewhat relieved that the forum had recognized a previous draft and offered for me to continue. However, when I selected it, it brought me back to an old post... that was actually posted! smh

A DNR rule with lower priority is being applied before a DNR rule of higher priority on Safari. Specifically, a low-priority DNR block rule that matches a request is being applied before a high-priority DNR redirect rule that matches the same request, preventing the redirect from occurring. The only way to get the high-priority redirect rule to occur is to remove the DNR block rule. This does not occur on other browsers. I confirmed that this is happening while I’ve granted my extension permissions on all websites.

" This header is never forwarded to server when the user is browsing the website in a WebView. This is properly maintained by other browsers but not in-app. How do I include it?

Hi everyone, We work on a macOS plugin which then gets loaded into another application. I'm trying to load a webpage in that application through our plugin using a WKWebView & I set my class as the navigationDelegate for the same. I do not receive any callbacks for the WKNavigationDelegate methods. I have debugged & made sure that the navigationDelegate is actually set to my class. The WKWebView is placed in a storyboard, and I have an IBOutlet connected to it in my class. Has anyone faced a similar issue or can point me to something I might be missing? All help is appreciated. Today, I was using Safari, and all of sudden it gets frozen, then the following window popped up. Is this something expected? i.e. my usage is somewhat unusual or is there any report around potential memory leak in Safari? appreciate any suggestions, as Safari is my main browser and currently on hold due to this issue. This is my first post, so please forgive me if it is to the wrong area. I've been using Tahoe for a few days and, overall, it's very stable. But the one thing that has bothered me to no end is Safari's new behavior with respect to its header (Address bar, Favorite bookmarks bar, tab bar) background color. The web content of the active tab seems to affect everything - and oftentimes makes things completely unreadable - at least in "Dark" mode. For instance, if a web page uses a white background, the Favorites bookmark labels are the same color as the bookmark background, so reading the labels is simply impossible. At other times, they're just very difficult to read. Similarly, it is almost always impossible to tell which tab is the active one - my only workaround is to try 100% brightness....or to just guess. When Apple previously experimented with letting content bleed through to the top, there was a setting for stopping it - but I don't see such a setting anymore. Do you you know of any way to stop this effect?

Whenever I make a safari view controller on XCode26 Beta 5, there appears to be a blurry white overlay overtop the controller. This worked fine in XCode26 Beta 2, with no code differences. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm building a macOS Google Chrome extension. I need to be able to send messages from the Chrome extension to the macOS app What's the set up flow? I've heard about native messaging, but I struggle to implement it. I've heard about XPC, but not sure JS can send messages to a macOS XPC service.

WKWebView has a new property "isBlockedByScreenTime" since iOS 26. But I do not yet understand when exactly this property could be used. When I setup content-based restrictions in the ScreenTime settings then WKWebView reports an error 105 via "webView:didFailProvisionalNavigation:" delegate. The isBlockedByScreenTime property still returns false in this case. If ScreenTime has a time-based limit, the App would not run at all. Under which circumstances would the property "isBlockedByScreenTime" return the value true? When exactly and for what can this property be actually used? The "problem" is that I want to find if a web page is blocked and can not be loaded, why this is the case. By simply trial and error I found out that WKWebView returns error codes 104 and 105 for blocked web sites because of content filters and Screen Time restrictions, however these error codes are not documented at all (at least I've not found any documentation or documentation for these error codes and also some other codes like 100, 102, 204 etc), so I'm not really sure if I handle all cases correctly. I hoped that isBlockedByScreenTime would at least tell me one reason for blocked pages. If there are documents which explain these error codes (100 and above), where I can find these?

How can i add Authorization header to a wkwebview. I checked https://developer.apple.com/documentation/foundation/nsurlrequest#1776617 which says Authorization header is a reserved http header and shouldn’t be set. I want to set it when requesting a url in wkwebview for authentication purpose?

All Safari interactions are done solely inside a SFSafariExtensionHandler . But now i'm considering adding some features from Google Chrome's Extension API like window switching. Is it possible to add a background.js worker to my existing Safari App Extension to have access to the beginRequest method override inside SFSafariExtensionHandler? Without converting my extension from Safari App Extension to Safari Web Extenion?

Hi there, I have a popular open source app called Foqos. What I'm finding in iOS 26 (might even effect older versions) is that when using the webcontent api within Managed settings as the following: store.webContent.blockedByFilter = .specific(domains) It doesn't work on Safari, but does work on third party applications like chrome, firefox, etc. But when using the all and exception enum like the following store.webContent.blockedByFilter = .all(except: domains) This does work on Safari This is pretty inconsistent behavior of the API and should be fixed to match the documentation. Documentation does not mention anything about Safari limitations Again source code is open: https://github.com/awaseem/foqos You can run the app yourself and find the same issues. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I am developing an SSO Extension so that I can have SSO with Keycloak across applications. OIDC/OAuth2 works very well. But I am struggling with SAML. It works, but it seems that the form submission is always triggered twice. I use decisionHandler(.cancel) to stop the form submission and redirect it to the browser. I still get the form submitted both by the extension and by the browser. At some point I tried to allow the form submission in the Extension so that I get the redirect with the response to the browser. It still triggered another submission. Does anyone experience this issue?

The new WebView implementation in *OS 26 versions is a very valuable addition to the SwiftUI toolset. I was experimenting with it and was wondering how to implement a Pull To Refresh. While this was easily achievable with the "old" WKWebView I was not able to find an API to implement, for example, a page reload when the user uses a pull to refresh gesture. I tried to attach to a .refreshable(_:) modifier to the WebView but without success. Is there an official API for that or should maybe .refreshable(_:) already work and it's just a bug or is it simply not yet supported?
