com.apple.developer.web-browser.public-key-credential still leads to com.apple.AuthenticationServices.AuthorizationError Code=1004
Hi, we were recently approved for the com.apple.developer.web-browser.public-key-credential entitlement and have added it to our app. It initially worked as expected for a couple of days, but then it stopped working. We're now seeing the same error as before adding the entitlement: Told not to present authorization sheet: Error Domain=com.apple.AuthenticationServicesCore.AuthorizationError Code=1 "(null)" ASAuthorizationController credential request failed with error: Error Domain=com.apple.AuthenticationServices.AuthorizationError Code=1004 "(null)" Do you have any insights into what might be causing this issue? Thank you!

How to collect a user's real email address when using Sign in with Apple and Private Relay?
I’m using Sign in with Apple in my iOS app. When a user chooses “Hide My Email”, I receive the @privaterelay.appleid.com relay address. For marketing reasons, I would prefer to have the user’s real email address instead of the relay email. I want to stay compliant with App Store Review and the Sign in with Apple design/UX requirements. My questions are: Is it allowed to force the user (as part of the registration process) to provide their real email address, even if they chose “Hide My Email” during Sign in with Apple? Are there any specific App Store Review guidelines that forbid: Blocking sign up or access to features if the user keeps the relay email, or Showing a strong prompt like “We can’t log you in unless you share your real email”? What is the recommended, compliant pattern for collecting a “real” email when using Sign in with Apple + Private Relay? I’d appreciate any official clarification or examples of what App Review considers acceptable vs. reject-worthy here.

Is “webcredentials” required for HTTPS callbacks in ASWebAuthenticationSession?
Hello, When using ASWebAuthenticationSession with an HTTPS callback URL (Universal Link), I receive the following error: Authorization error: The operation couldn't be completed. Application with identifier jp.xxxx.yyyy.dev is not associated with domain xxxx-example.go.link. Using HTTPS callbacks requires Associated Domains using the webcredentials service type for xxxx-example.go.link. I checked Apple’s official documentation but couldn’t find any clear statement that webcredentials is required when using HTTPS callbacks in ASWebAuthenticationSession. What I’d like to confirm: Is webcredentials officially required when using HTTPS as a callback URL with ASWebAuthenticationSession? If so, is there any official documentation or technical note that states this requirement? Environment iOS 18.6.2 Xcode 16.4 Any clarification or official references would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

How to resolve invalid client
I've been fighting this issue for 3 days now. After several failures, I created a new app id and service id yesterday. I checked and entered domain, callback, and login usage clearly, but it keeps returning an error. Can you help me figure out what's wrong? https://appleid.apple.com/auth/authorize?response_type=code&client_id=com.smoothmail.signin&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fsmoothmail.store%2Fapple-auth&state=4157daa763&scope=name+email&response_mode=form_post

Unexpectedly invalidated Biometrics in iOS 18.3.2 or later
There is a sudden surge of users in our apps with invalidated biometrics. Even though the issue is being handled correctly and the user has another way to login, some of the users forgot their passwords and they can not login. Is there any known issue with Biometrics in iOS 18.3.2 or later? There is a (possible) related discussion here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/256011565

Which in-app events are allowed without ATT consent?
Hi everyone, I'm developing an iOS app using the AppsFlyer SDK. I understand that starting with iOS 14.5, if a user denies the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission, we are not allowed to access the IDFA or perform cross-app tracking. However, I’d like to clarify which in-app events are still legally and technically safe to send when the user denies ATT permission. Specifically, I want to know: Is it acceptable to send events like onboarding_completed, paywall_viewed, subscription_started, subscribe, subscribe_price, or app_opened if they are not linked to IDFA or any form of user tracking? Would sending such internal behavioral events (used purely for SKAdNetwork performance tracking or in-app analytics) violate Apple’s privacy policy if no device identifiers are attached? Additionally, if these events are sent in fully anonymous form (i.e., not associated with IDFA, user ID, email, or any identifiable metadata), does Apple still consider this a privacy concern? In other words, can onboarding_completed, paywall_viewed, subsribe, subscribe_price, etc., be sent in anonymous format without violating ATT policies? Are there any official Apple guidelines or best practices that outline what types of events are considered compliant in the absence of ATT consent? My goal is to remain 100% compliant with Apple’s policies while still analyzing meaningful user behavior to improve the in-app experience. Any clarification or pointers to documentation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Sign in with Apple First Name & Last Name Values
Hi, we are having Sign in with Apple issues. For a large % of new users on our app which select this option, the first name and last name values are not being passed to us. This is the case in both scenarios - where the user shares their email address or hides it, and happens on iPhone when the user selects the default iCloud account. We're unclear why this is occurring.

Using Device Data for Finger Printing
Our business model is to identify Frauds using our advanced AI/ML model. However, in order to do so we need to collect many device information which seems to be ok according to https://developer.apple.com/app-store/user-privacy-and-data-use/ But it's also prohibited to generate a fingerprint, so I need more clarification here. Does it mean I can only use the data to identify that a user if either fraud or not but I cannot generate a fingerprint to identify the device? If so, I can see many SKD in the market that generates Fingerprints like https://fingerprint.com/blog/local-device-fingerprint-ios/ and https://shield.com/?

Update ASCredentialIdentityStore for new Autofill PassKey registration
I have an Autofill Passkey Provider working for Safari and Chrome via WebAuthn protocol. Unfortunately, Chrome will not offer my extension as a logon credential provider unless I add the credential to the ASCredentialIdentityStore. I wonder what is the best way to access the ASCredentialIdentityStore from an AutoFill extension? I understand I cannot access it directly from the extension context, so what is the best way to trigger my container app to run, based on a new WebAuthn registration? The best I can think of so far is for the www site to provide an App Link to launch my container app as part of the registration ceremony. Safari will offer my extension even without adding it to the ASCredentialIdentityStore, so I guess I should file a request with Chrome to work this way too, given difficulty of syncing ASCredentialIdentityStore with WebAuthn registration.

signInWithAppleButton not respond
Hi, My app keeps getting rejected during App Review with the reason that the Sign in with Apple button is unresponsive. However, I have tested it extensively on: • A real iPad Pro (iPadOS 18.3.2) • Multiple Xcode simulators • Including an iPad Air 5th simulator (18.3.1) In all of these cases, the button works correctly. The reviewer mentioned they are using an iPad Air 5th running iPadOS 18.3.2, which I cannot find as a simulator in Xcode, nor do I have access to this exact device around me. I’m using standard SignInWithAppleButton code with no custom wrappers or UI layers on top. Here is the relevant snippet: GeometryReader { geometry in ZStack { Color.black.opacity(0.3) .ignoresSafeArea() .onTapGesture { prompt = "" showChat = false } VStack(alignment: .leading, spacing: 0){ switch purchaseManager.hasAISubscription { case 1: HStack{ } case 2: HStack{ } case 3: HStack{ } default: HStack{ } } Divider() ScrollView { VStack(alignment: .leading, spacing: 8) { ForEach(filteredChatHistory, id: \.id) { chat in } } Spacer() } .frame(maxHeight: geometry.size.height * 0.7) .defaultScrollAnchor(.bottom) .padding() Divider() HStack(){ if httpManager.isLoggedIn && purchaseManager.hasAISubscription > 0 { } } else if purchaseManager.hasAISubscription == 0{ } else{ Spacer() SignInWithAppleButton(.continue){ request in request.requestedScopes = [.email] } onCompletion: { result in switch result { case .success(let auth): switch auth.credential { case let appleCredential as ASAuthorizationAppleIDCredential: let userID = appleCredential.user saveToKeychain(userID, for: "com.xing-fu.aireader.apple.userid") if let identityTokenData = appleCredential.identityToken, let identityToken = String(data: identityTokenData, encoding: .utf8) { Task { //后端认证过,才算登录成功 await httpManager.loginWithApple(identityToken) } } break default: break } case .failure(let error): print("error") } } .frame(maxWidth: 350, maxHeight: 40) .padding() .cornerRadius(10) Spacer() } } } .overlay( // 边框 RoundedRectangle(cornerRadius: 10) .stroke(Color.g2, lineWidth: 4) ) .background(Color(UIColor.systemBackground)) .cornerRadius(10) // 圆角 .shadow(color: Color.black.opacity(0.1), radius: 5, x: 0, y: 5) .frame(width: geometry.size.width * 0.8) .onDisappear{ httpManager.alertMessage = nil } } }

DeviceCheck - Device Validation Endpoint not working
We have been having very high response times in device check device validation service (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/devicecheck/accessing-and-modifying-per-device-data#Create-the-payload-for-a-device-validation-request) since 17 July at 19:10hs GMT. The service information page says the service was running in green status but that isn't the case and we currenly have stop consuming it. Is it being looked at? Are you aware of this issue? Can you give us an estimate of when it should be working correctly?

Transfer of an App with Sign in with Apple Functionality
Hello, I currently have an app that includes the "Sign in with Apple" feature, and I need to transfer this app to another app team. I have reviewed all official documentation but have not found the answer I need. My situation has some specificities, and I hope to receive assistance. The .p8 key created by the original developer team has been lost, and the app’s backend does not use a .p8 key for verification—instead, it verifies by obtaining Apple’s public key. However, according to the official documentation I reviewed, obtaining a transfer identifier during the app transfer process requires a client_secret generated from the original team’s .p8 key. This has left us facing a challenge, and we have two potential approaches to address this issue: Q1: During the transfer, is it possible to skip obtaining the transfer identifier and proceed directly with the app transfer, without performing any backend operations? Is this approach feasible? Q2: If the above approach is not feasible, should we create a new .p8 key in the original team’s account and use this new key for the transfer? If a new key is generated, do we need to re-release a new version of the app before initiating the transfer? If neither of the above approaches is feasible, are there better solutions to resolve our issue? I hope to receive a response. Thank you. Sign In with Apple Integration Issue - "Sign-Up not completed" Error
I'm experiencing an issue with Sign In with Apple integration in my React Native Expo app (Bundle ID: com.anonymous.TuZjemyApp). Problem Description: When users attempt to sign in using Sign In with Apple, they successfully complete Face ID/password authentication, but then receive a "Sign-Up not completed" error message. The authentication flow appears to stop at this point and doesn't return the identity token to my app. Technical Details: Frontend Implementation: Using expo-apple-authentication. Requesting scopes: FULL_NAME and EMAIL App is properly configured in app.json with: usesAppleSignIn: true Entitlement: com.apple.developer.applesignin Backend Implementation: Endpoint: POST /api/auth/apple Using apple-signin-auth package for token verification Verifying tokens with audience: com.anonymous.TuZjemyApp Backend creates/updates user accounts based on Apple ID Question: I'm not sure why the authentication flow stops with "Sign-Up not completed" after successful Face ID verification. The identity token never reaches my app. Could you please help me understand: What might cause this specific error message? Are there any additional Apple Developer Portal configurations required? Could this be related to app capabilities or entitlements? Is there a specific setup needed for the app to properly receive identity tokens? I set up provisioning profiles, and added Sign in with Apple as a capability and still it doesn't work.

Empty userID for cross-platform attestation with Android
I've come across strange behavior with the userID property on the returned credential from a passkey attestation. When performing a cross-device passkey assertion between iOS and Android by scanning the generated QR code on my iPhone with an Android device the returned credential object contains an empty userID. This does not happen when performing an on device or cross-device assertion using two iPhones. Is this expected behavior, or is there something I'm missing here? I couldn't find any more information on this in the documentation. iOS Version: 26.0.1, Android Version: 13

No way => HTTP (400): {"error":"invalid_client"}
Hi everyone, I have followed all the Apple procedures, read the forums, and looked at various experiences of other users who had my problem, but I haven’t found a solution. On my site, I have added login with all the “big” providers, and Apple is the only one missing. I’ve tried everything, but when the user logs in and is authenticated, I get an error. In order, here’s what I receive: Received Apple code: cfbf091dd6... JWT generated correctly HTTP Error (400): {"error":"invalid_client"} I’ve read all sorts of things, including that you have to wait up to 48 hours for the Key to be enabled. Any ideas? I’ve read that this is a common problem, but I haven’t found a valid solution. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.

XCode claims that tracking domains are not listed in the Privacy Manifest
Hi, Xcode Instruments shows multiple Points of Interest with the information that the framework is not listed in my Privacy Manifest. However, I have already included them in the Privacy Manifest under the privacy tracking domains. I have this problem with every tracking domain i listed in the Privacy Manifest's Privacy Tracking Domains. Did I make a mistake in my Privacy Manifest declaration?

Webview In-App Browser Microsoft Login Redirection Not Working
Hello, We received a rejection on one of our IOS applications because we were doing Microsoft MSAL login through the user's browser. The representative recommended that we use Webview to do in-app logins. However when we tried to handle the custom app uri redirection (looking like myapp://auth/), Webview does not seem to send the user back to the application. Does anyone have a fix for this? Thanks!

How to request permission for System Audio Recording Only?
Hi community, I'm wondering how can I request the permission of "System Audio Recording Only" under the Privacy & Security -> Screen & System Audio Recording via swift? Did a bunch of search but didn't find good documentation on it. Tried another approach here https://github.com/insidegui/AudioCap/blob/main/AudioCap/ProcessTap/AudioRecordingPermission.swift which doesn't work very reliably.
