I want to implement a feature where a custom notification sound file is downloaded from the server when the app is first launched and stored locally on the device. When a push notification arrives, the stored sound should be played in all app states, including foreground, background, and terminated (killed) state. Does anyone have an idea on how to implement this in iOS? I installed the new developer beta 26 yesterday, but since that I only have problems with my iPhone. i am running iOS 18.5 beta 3 (iPhone 16 pro max) and my phone will not connect wirelessly to any of my vehicles. When connected via the apple certified usb-c cord, it will connect just fine. I have removed all vehicles from my phone, then removed my phone from both vehicle, reconnected, and it still will not connect wirelessly.

Hello, I have a question regarding the ethernet-over-USB-C stack within iOS/iPadOS. It seems that when manually assigning an IP on this interface within iOS, the IP is stored. Therefore, when disconnecting (the USB-C cable) and reconnecting to another device for a subsequent ethernet connection, the iOS device will always default to the previously assigned IP address (obviously, this isn't the case if the other end is a DHCP server). So, within the iPhone's Ethernet-over-USB-C driver, I was curious if iOS just keeps the assignment based on the MAC of the local USB-C interface, or is stored information tied to some other identifier? Is there a way to override this behavior? Thank you

Hello, I'm trying to publish my app, but I'm constantly getting rejected by Apple. They're telling me I'm having issues with tracking user data. This item has been rejected for the following reasons: 5.1.2 Legal: Privacy - Data Use and Sharing I've indicated that I don't use this data for ads, that it's only used for personalization and to understand who saves items. I added the NSUserTrackingUsageDescription property to the info.plist. I run AppTrackingTransparency.requestTrackingAuthorization() when the user logs into the app, displaying a warning message. I'd say I meet all the requirements they've set for me, but they still haven't approved my app. What do you recommend? How can I speak to a physical person who can help me? After I got my repaired phone back from the shop, I noticed that iphone mirroring is not functioning like normal. I tried every solutions from deleting the .plist files and reset my phone's connection, but now it seems like the problem comes from the mirroring app itself. After deleting the .plist file and resetting the MBP, the setup for the mirroring app won't let me continue, as clicking the "continue" button only flash the descriptions of the mirroring feature for a slight moment, then return to the same setup UI as before. Is there anyway to completely delete and reinstall this app so that it functions again?

Hey guys, I've been searching high and low for some clarity when it comes to this topic. Essentially, what is the legality/risk of using apple music previews in my app. Does Apple license the previews meaning they are fair to use as long as I link to that URL? Do i need to license every song individually? I can not find anything concrete out and while the apple team let my app (that currently plays preview urls) on the app store I know that doesn't necessarily legally cover me. Any input is appreciated, i know this is a pretty niche area.

Now that Apple is allowing users to merge two Apple IDs, how does one remove/delete songs from the Primary Apple ID music library? Is it a no-no to merge two Apple IDs? The notes on merging suggest this is a problem but offer no workaround. The only option I can see is to hide songs. Is this sufficient to allow the merging of two Apple IDs?

The Uber Driver app is able to get background location and there’s no way to turn it off from settings. Unlike other apps where there’s always an option to turn off background location from settings. Is this a bug or special treatment for big companies? this matters to me because we’re in a similar business but our app has to request background permissions, explicitly. I am attaching both of the screenshots here for you to compare and see. Please note that I verified personally that Uber Driver app is able to get background location.

I updated my Macbook Pro this week, macOS Sequoia 15.3.2 and now the Password app isn't working. When I log into my regularly saved sites, and I click user name, the Password app login modal pops up, but when I click it, NOTHING happens. If I manually type in my user name (which was unnecessary prior to the recent update), then SOMETIMES I get the fingerprint, but most times I don't. I am using the Chrome browser.
