Installed the iOS 26 Beta on my iPhone 13 Pro last night, hated it. I wasn't aware that there is a supported way of restoring back to iOS18.5, so I (foolishly) opted to flash the iOS18.5 ispw file onto my device using a 3rd party tool. Now, my device is stuck in a state between. Unable to flash, unable to use itunes to restore, randomly gives error codes during restoration attempts. Worries my device may be lost permanently! Please advise.

Now that Apple is allowing users to merge two Apple IDs, how does one remove/delete songs from the Primary Apple ID music library? Is it a no-no to merge two Apple IDs? The notes on merging suggest this is a problem but offer no workaround. The only option I can see is to hide songs. Is this sufficient to allow the merging of two Apple IDs?

Then Came the Update… and the Issues Began First, I updated last week. Two of my four displays stopped working. No big deal, I thought—I’ve dealt with display quirks before. Then, like an optimist ignoring red flags, I updated again last night to 15.4 Beta (24E5222f) and… well, now things are completely broken. My Once-Perfect Setup (Now a Display Disaster) JCD543 HUB → 2 HDMI displays (not working) JUD380 HUB → 1 HDMI display (partially working, unstable) MacBook HDMI port → 1 HDMI display (working, but feeling abandoned) JCA365 USB-C to Dual HDMI Adapter (Not part of my setup, but tested—also not working) What I’ve Tried (aka My Troubleshooting Journey) ✔ Restarted my Mac multiple times ✔ Uninstalled and reinstalled J5 drivers ✔ Swapped cables, unplugged/replugged everything, tested known-working HDMI cables (they work fine on other devices) ✔ Deleted /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.displays.plist (this fixed a similar issue in the past, but the file no longer exists in this update) The Likely Culprit? It seems to be a J5 driver issue triggered by the macOS update—and I’m not alone. Others are reporting similar problems. Apple… Any Fixes? I just want my four screens back. The setup worked flawlessly for 9 months, so it’s hard to believe it was never meant to work. i have a specific requirement as below. i have apartments in which i have 4 units and each unit will be of same layout. furniture etc.. might change but not walls and layout as far as i know. Step1: Now i will enter into one unit, scan the entire unit and save it using RoomPlan Api and at the end of the scan i will be saving the worldmap as well. Step2: i want to use the previously saved worldmap and enter into another unit and want to relocalize with only walls because the furniture might be different. is that possible. if not is there any otherway to achieve this functionality? i really appreciate you valuable time. Installed update on Monday night and since then keep losing Network connection despite resettting Network connections and iphone. Comes back for a short time after rsetting then is lost with nothing showing under Mobile Service.

Its normal to have connections to developer.apple.com on an device not in developer mode?

i am running iOS 18.5 beta 3 (iPhone 16 pro max) and my phone will not connect wirelessly to any of my vehicles. When connected via the apple certified usb-c cord, it will connect just fine. I have removed all vehicles from my phone, then removed my phone from both vehicle, reconnected, and it still will not connect wirelessly.

Hello, I downloaded the iOS 26 beta update on my iPhone 16 pro max and it bricked my device. After the download was installed the phone never turned on and when I tried to power it on, the charging battery logo came out but the battery was at 97% when the update was finish. I tried to soft reset the phone and several things go power on the device and nothing happened. finally, i took it to the Apple Store today in the morning and they will send out the phone for repairs Which mean they will probably change the entire phones software.

I'm pretty desperate today and unfortunately it's making me sick, really sick. Yesterday I edited a note on a MacBook Pro, M2 processor, MacOS Sequoia 15.8.1 (-1) and today the text work I invested several days in is lost. My only option is to delete the note! So far I've had very, very good experiences with the Notes.app, robust, reliable, manageable range of functions. When integrating the math functions I became really suspicious for the first time. I had calculated series and sequences and suddenly the Note.app froze for a worryingly long time, in fact the entire operating system was blocked. Then today I got a huge shock, the note can no longer be opened, neither on the iPhone nor on the MacBook Pro. The note contained my business concept for a business partner. I had already been writing the concept for several days! I estimated the value at several thousand euros. This has torn me apart, I can feel myself getting sick. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow and it might take a week for me to get a sick note. I'm pretty shocked. Here are the technical details, in case someone at Apple Incorp. wants to look into it. The note contains links and photos and is encrypted! Which in and of itself is an impossibility. Or is it? In any case, the Notes.app has always stubbornly claimed that I cannot encrypt notes with this content. That's a paradox, isn't it? I'm schizophrenic! I'm attaching the Notes.app crash report to this post. I can't say more at the moment. Except that I'm very, very sad and very, very shocked. Notes wurde unerwartet beendet.

I'm running IOS 18.5 on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. If I delete an email on my iPhone, it is still in the inbox on my iMac. If I delete an email on my iMac it is deleted from the inbox on my iPhone. Is this because of the Beta software on my phone?

im on ios 18.3.2 but this has been happening to me since I updated to ios 18 I think. every time I try to open find my, it opens and then after a few seconds it crashes. and then my phone bugs out for a few minutes then everything goes back to normal. is there any way to fix this? i wanna be able to find my devices without my app crashing 😭.

I was searching for demo code from WWDC 2015 (Maze: Getting Started with GamePlayKit). Turns out, Apple remove the project from their website. But I finally found the project on my Mac because I must have downloaded it in the past. Does anyone know if I'm allowed to put that project to a public GitHub page without any modifications? Has anyone of you experience with this? I think it's really bad that Apple is removing those old projects. And as this particular project is in ObjC it compiles with only minor adjustments.

I am trying to open items saved to my files and keep receiving this notification every time I do so, “The operation couldn't be completed. (NSFileProvider- ErrorDomain error -2005.)” What does this mean and how do I fix it? I have a 256 gb phone so I know storage is not an issue. Please help as I have files saved to my phone and not anywhere else.

Is there a way to check whether third-party code can be inserted into parts of the ARM CPU architecture from outside? I have the paranoid impression that my MacBook Pro, M2 processor is being manipulated from outside. For example: Safari, when opened, displays pages scaled down without my conscious intervention, when clicked on the original size it scales back to normal for a short time and then implodes again; I use the navigation bar on the left excessively, it is my most important tool in Safari, today it was impossible to insert a link using drag & drop, the bar scrolls up or down very quickly; a behavior that I only know from Intel processors. For example, notes, I encrypted an important note, no problem even though photos and links are inserted, yesterday I could no longer open the note, neither on the MacBook Pro nor on the iPhone. When opening the notes app in the terminal on the MacBook Pro, an EXEC_CRASH report was generated. I have a terrible suspicion that the Apple branch in Munich is tampering with the devices and software of users in Germany. Sorry, I'm a big fan of Apple and its products, but this is very spooky. Hi there, with the latest update, the ability to click in the file name field at the top of a document (eg Pages, Numbers) to add or change the name of the file, then select filing location, no longer works. Previously, a user could do this and then hit 'return' and it would save to that location with that new file name. It no longer does this. This is a very useful functionality to have. Can it be returned in a future update?
