Does originalTransactionId change if a user resubscribes?
Hello, For In App Purchases with a renewable subscription, does the originalTransactionId change in the following scenarios? Case 1: A user subscribes to a subscription A within a Subscription Group SG1. The user then cancels it at the end of the month. Comes back later to subscribe to the same subscription A within the same Subscription Group SG1. Case 2: A user subscribes to a subscription A within a Subscription Group SG1. The user then cancels it at the end of the month. Comes back later to subscribe to subscription B within the same Subscription Group SG1.

Landscape safe area is incorrect when presenting SKStoreProductViewController
Hi. If the app is in landscape only and when the SKStoreProductViewController is presented, the safeArea changes to what looks like a portrait mode safe area. When the SKStoreProductViewController is dismissed, the safeArea does NOT revert back to the original values. Is there a way to force the safeArea to "reset"? I've submitted some bug tickets through Apple Feedback but I haven't received any response about it. The below code will pop up the SKStoreProductViewController and if you have a UIView that is constrained to the safe area, then you can visibly notice that the safe area is changed and doesn't go back. I have tested this on iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 15, and iPhone 16 Pro and in the Simulators. The incorrect behavior happens on those and probably more. StoreKit returning 0 products (IAPError: storekit_no_response)
Hi everyone, I’m facing an issue where StoreKit is returning 0 products from the App Store, even though my auto-renewable subscriptions are approved in App Store Connect. When calling queryProductDetails using Flutter’s in_app_purchase package (which uses StoreKit under the hood), StoreKit reports success but returns an empty list. The logs show the following error: IAPError(code: storekit_no_response, source: app_store, message: "StoreKit: Failed to get response from platform.") InAppPurchase.isAvailable() returns true, but no product details are received. Already verified: • Subscriptions are approved in App Store Connect • Product identifiers in the app match those in App Store Connect exactly • In-App Purchase capability is enabled in Xcode • Paid Applications Agreement, banking, and tax details are active and complete • Using the latest version of the Flutter in_app_purchase package StoreKit should normally return the list of available products in the production environment, but it consistently returns an empty array along with the “storekit_no_response” error. Has anyone else encountered this issue or found any potential causes for StoreKit failing to return products in the production environment? Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Unable to retrieve data from In App Purchase
I want to add in-app purchasing to my app, but I can't figure out what part of my workflow is wrong. I created a product for my app in iTunes Connect (the product ID is com.mycompany.products.***) and it's in "Ready to submit" status. I created a sandbox test user for this app. I connected to iTunes on a real device using the sandbox AppleID. I went back to XCode and added in-app purchasing to my app. I turned on developer mode on the real device and logged in as the sandbox user. I built the app and ran it on a real device (not the simulator). I tried to get product information (com.mycompany.products.***) but nothing was returned. In-app purchasing is registered in App Store Connect and the status is "Ready to submit". The code only retrieves product information in a simple way, so I don't think there's a problem. inAppPurchase.getProducts(["com.mycompany.products.***"]).then(console.log).catch(console.error); But it only returns an empty array. What could be wrong? Any help would be much appreciated.

Unable to enable eligibility for External Purchase Link APIs — seeking clarification
Hello, I am currently implementing External Purchase Link and External Purchase Custom Link and am encountering an issue where both ExternalPurchaseLink.canOpen and ExternalPurchaseCustomLink.isEligible always return false under all test conditions. I would like to confirm whether my setup is missing any required steps or whether this behavior is expected. Below are the details of my current environment and configuration: 🔧 1. Development Environment Xcode: 16.3, 16.4, 26.0 beta 4 Devices: iPhone running iOS 26.2 beta iPhone running iOS 16.7.12 macOS 15.5 (real device testing) Simulator iOS 18.0 Build Type: Local development build using a Developer Provisioning Profile Sandbox account signed in during testing 🔑 2. Entitlements (Developer site & Xcode) In Certificates → Identifiers → App ID, both capabilities are enabled: StoreKit External Purchase StoreKit External Purchase Link The .entitlements file in Xcode includes: com.apple.developer.storekit.external-purchase = YES com.apple.developer.storekit.external-purchase-link = YES The Provisioning Profile also contains both entitlements (confirmed via codesign -d --entitlements :-). 📄 3. Info.plist Configuration Both keys are configured with correct region codes according to documentation: SKExternalPurchase SKExternalPurchaseCustomLinkRegions 🌍 4. Test Storefront Device storefront verified as United States (US) or Portugal (PT) (US = target region for External Purchase Link, PT = EU region) But despite all the above configuration, both API calls consistently return false: ExternalPurchaseLink.canOpen // false ExternalPurchaseCustomLink.isEligible // false So I cannot proceed to testing the remaining flow (token retrieval, link opening, etc.) ------ Questions ------ ❓ Q1) Local Development Build Limitation Is it expected behavior that Developer-signed local builds always return canOpen = false / isEligible = false for External Purchase Link & Custom Link? Is there a technical or policy restriction that prevents eligibility in local dev builds? ❓ Q2) App Store Connect Configuration Requirement Are there mandatory App Store Connect settings (such as external purchase URLs, support URL, disclosures, or country configuration) that must be enabled before eligibility becomes true? Currently, no External Purchase Link or Custom Link menu is visible in my App Store Connect app settings. Is this menu only available after certain approvals or under specific conditions? ❓ Q3) TestFlight Requirement Do External Purchase Link and Custom Link only return eligibility = true on: TestFlight builds, or Distribution-signed builds? Or should eligibility also work on developer builds? Formal confirmation would be helpful. ❓ Q4) Developer Account Type Limitation We are using an Individual Developer Account (not Organization). Can Individual accounts fully request, test, and ship apps using: External Purchase Link External Purchase Custom Link Or are there limitations on account type? 🙏 Request We have completed all documented setup steps (Entitlements → Provisioning → Info.plist), but eligibility remains false, blocking feature validation. Mismatch between App Store Server API `expiresDate` (July 23) and iOS UI “Expires on” date (July 22) for 1-month subscription
Hi everyone, I’m seeing a consistent one-day discrepancy between the expiresDate returned by the App Store Server API and the “Expires on” date shown in the iOS Settings / App Store subscription list. I’d like to confirm whether this behavior is expected or if I’m misunderstanding the way Apple rounds dates. Reproduction steps Step Action Result 1 Purchase a 1-month auto-renewable subscription on 23 June 2025 14:00 JST (UTC+9) Transaction succeeds 2 Immediately fetch the transaction with GET /inApps/v1/subscriptions/{transactionId} Response contains "expiresDate": "2025-07-23T05:00:00Z" (= 23 July 2025 14:00 JST) 3 On the same device open Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions (or App Store › Account › Subscriptions) UI shows Expires on: 22 July 2025 The same happens for every monthly renewal and on multiple devices. Region is Japan, device time zone Asia/Tokyo. What I understand so far (and my hypothesis) Apple’s docs say a monthly subscription renews “on the same calendar date” of the next month, so renewal in this example is 23 July. If the renewal is scheduled for 23 July at 14:00 JST, the subscription is fully usable until the end of 22 July in calendar terms, because the new billing period starts the moment the 23rd begins in Apple’s canonical time zone. Therefore, it might be intentional for the UI to display 22 July—i.e., “you can keep using it through the 22nd; on the 23rd it renews.” This hypothesis makes sense internally, yet it still looks confusing to end users who read “Expires on 22 July” and assume access ends at 00:00 on the 22nd, a whole day earlier than in reality. Questions Is showing the day before the renewal date the official/expected behavior? If so, could Apple clarify that the “Expires on” label represents the last full calendar day rather than the exact expiry timestamp? Which value should we surface in-app when telling users “Your subscription is valid until …”? The server’s expiresDate (precise to the second, converted to user time zone), or A UI-style date that’s one day earlier, matching Settings / App Store? Does Apple have a public document describing this rounding/visual convention? Have other developers encountered user confusion about the apparent 1-day “shortening” and, if so, how did you word your in-app messaging? Any insight from Apple engineers or fellow developers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Why Non-Consumable product has originalTransactionId?

Auto-renewable subscriptions does not work in production
I don't know why the subscription doesn't work in production, the message Subscription Unavailable appears. The subscription is approved in appstoreconnect. Works normally using storekit in xcode, both signing and using subscriber features. According to apple's guidance, first I do the test to validate https://buy.itunes.apple.com/verifyReceipt and then https://sandbox.itunes.apple.com/verifyReceipt. Plus I create the app-specific shared secret and put it in the code to validate the receipts. I have looked for several topics and I can not solve this problem. What do I need to do to make it work in production? I believe I did what's in the official documentation.

StoreKit.product.purchase returns success, but subscription does not appear in Settings
Description: We are developing an iOS app that offers only one auto-renewable subscription. Recently, a user who had not subscribed for over a year purchased the subscription again through our app. However, when they checked Settings > Subscriptions, the new subscription did not appear. Instead, only their past subscription history was visible, and there was no option to cancel the new subscription. We have verified this issue with a screenshot provided by the user. Additionally, we checked our app’s logs and confirmed that StoreKit.product.purchase successfully returned .success, indicating that the purchase was processed correctly. StoreKit2, IAP not instantly shared with Family
Hey folks! In one of our apps we're using the FamilyControls framework to manage the screentime for the child. The app requires the Guardian to activate a subscription on his/her device to enable the functionality for the Child on the child device. We're currently using StoreKit 2 to get notified when there is an active subscription. The issue we're seeing (and our users) is that an activated subscription isn't instantly propagated to the Family members, in this case the device belonging to the child. Is this a known bug, and are the possible any workarounds? Currently we have to ask our users to "Restore Purchase" or wait minutes/hours for the app to active, which isn't a viable solution. iOS misleading users with payment notification timing
I'm getting really frustrated with emails from my App users who believe they've been charged for a free in-app purchase when they haven't. My App offers many in-app purchases of digital items and I give 4 of these away for free to let users get comfortable with how it works in-app. Over the last couple of years I've had a steady increase in angry emails from users who accuse me of fraud by charging them for a free item. I couldn't figure out for a while what this was as they would leave a 1 star rating, delete the app and ignore my emails for more information. Recently I had someone a bit more patient engage and explain it to me. The purchase for some reason popped up on my notifications right when I bought the [Free Item in my app]. It was from a movie I bought and the bill was delayed. The timing of that notification is what is misleading users about the free in-app purchase. Can someone take note of this please and perhaps delay any payment notifications so they aren't sent when the in-app purchase is for FREE? Thanks!

Transaction.updates sending me duplicated transactions after marking finished()
Hey y'all, I'm reaching out because of an observed issue that I am experience both in sandbox and in production environments. This issue does not occur when using the Local StoreKit configurations. For context, my app only implements auto-renewing subscriptions. I'm trying to track with my own analytics every time a successful purchase is made, whether in the app or externally through Subscription Settings. I'm seeming too many events for just one purchase. My app is observing Transaction.updates. When I make a purchase with Product.purchase(_:), I successfully handle the purchase result. After a few seconds, I receive 2-3 new transactions in my Transaction.updates, even though I already handled and finished the Purchase result. The transactions seem to have the same transactionId, and values such as revocationDate, expirationDate, and isUpgraded don't seem to change between any of them. For purchases made outside the app, I get the same issue. Transaction gets handled in updates several times. Note that this is not an issue if a subscription renews. I use `Transaction.reason

Where can I check Non-Renewing Subscription purchase history in Sandbox?
Hello, I am currently testing In-App Purchases for my app in the Sandbox environment. Our app has two types of products: Auto-renewable subscriptions Non-renewing subscriptions When testing auto-renewable subscriptions, I can see the subscription in the Sandbox account management screen, and I can perform actions such as: Viewing the active subscription Cancelling the subscription Upgrading or downgrading the subscription However, when testing non-renewing subscriptions, I cannot find the purchase history anywhere in the Sandbox account management screen. Because of this, I cannot verify whether the non-renewing subscription purchase was recorded correctly. My question is: Where can I check the purchase history for Non-Renewing Subscriptions in the Sandbox environment? Is there a specific place in: App Store Connect Sandbox account settings Or somewhere else where these purchases can be reviewed? Thank you in advance for your help.

No subscriptions showed to buy in release phase
I have auto-renewable subscriptions, and in Xcode everything works fine. It shows a list of subscriptions where I can make a test purchase. But when I send it for review, the review team, as well as TestFlight, simply do not have subscriptions. If the problem was in the code, it would not work in the sandbox as I think. But I think that I configured everything correctly in the subscription settings. The only thing: it shows there for the subscription in appstoreconnect that it is preparing for review, but nothing can be done about it, because it will be solved with the first release of the application. But I do not know where else to look and what to do. The problem is probably not in the code, but I also redirected the subscription config in appstoreconnect a bunch of times. I asked help on review team, no way. Tried to google and chat GPT, no ideas where to find a solution.

How to Verify the Authenticity of an In-App Purchase Receipt from Apple Pay?
I am an app developer, and I have implemented in-app purchases in my application. When a user completes a purchase, Apple displays a success popup. After the user taps "OK", I send the receiptData to my server to add points to their account. However, I have encountered cases where users either exit the app before tapping "OK" or experience network issues, preventing the receipt from being sent to my server. As a result, they do not receive their points. Later, some users send me a receipt from Apple Pay, claiming that the payment was successful. These receipts include details such as the orderId, email, and other transaction information. However, I am not certain whether the user actually completed the payment but encountered an issue, or if they are providing a fraudulent receipt. My question: How can I verify the authenticity of these receipts? Is there an official way to check if a given Apple Pay invoice corresponds to a real in-app purchase in my app? Any guidance or best practices would be greatly appreciated!

Purchase information for users with multiple original transaction IDs
We are currently performing maintenance and operation on our app. I would like to ask a question about Apple's purchase processing. When retrieving purchase information for a user who has multiple original transaction IDs, such as original transaction ID AAA and original transaction ID BBB, if "Get All Subscription Statues" is executed with BBB as an argument, is it possible that purchase information for original transaction ID "AAA" will be retrieved? If this kind of issue does occur, please share the conditions under which it occurs.

Server Not Receiving Apple App Store Server Notification
Hello, Our server isn't receiving Apple App Store Server Notification for in-app purchases. It works for Sandbox Server, even I sent a test notification which I received on the Production Server URL, but the real in-app payment notification isn't coming to the server. I checked this already: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstoreservernotifications/enabling-app-store-server-notifications and everything here has been reviewed. Transport Layer Security (TLS) version and others things mentioned have been checked, test notification was received. But the main in-app purchase notification for live transaction isn't coming. What's the issue precisely?

Sandbox users always are owning application
Hi! I'm trying to implement a two week free trial for my existing paid ipad app. Following the guidance from the wwdc2022/10007, I'm using AppTransaction.shared and checking the result. I'm getting a verified result, but the appTransaction.originalPurchaseDate is always the same date - 2013-08-01 07:00:00 +0000 / 397033200, even the particular sandbox account user never had a purchase. This makes testing the logical branch of "has this user never purchased this app before" if the app store is always telling us that it's been purchased. (I've been using new sandbox account, so there should be no history) Here's some code that includes hacking around always getting that original purchase date. We're in the final stretches, and wanting to test things that will be closer to actual store behavior (and I'm thinking that always returning a purchased date for an unpurchased app wouldn't be happening) Am I just holding things wrong? Apple Pay v2 (signedTransactionInfo) : how to verify new token format and migrate from legacy EC_v1?
I’m updating a legacy application that used Apple Pay v1 token format, and in my new revamped version I’m now receiving the newer Apple Pay v2 format. The old (v1) payload looked like this: php { "version": "EC_v1", "data": "...", "signature": "...", "header": { "ephemeralPublicKey": "...", "publicKeyHash": "...", "transactionId": "..." } } In the new revamp (v2), Apple Pay returns this instead: php { "signedTransactionInfo": "eyJhbGciOiJFUzI1NiIsIng1YyI6WyJNSUlF..." } From what I understand: v1 tokens were elliptic-curve encrypted JSON objects containing a header and signature. v2 tokens seem to be JWS (JSON Web Signature) strings using the ES256 algorithm, possibly containing transaction and subscription details inside. Questions Is there any official Apple documentation or migration note explaining the move from EC_v1 → signedTransactionInfo? How should I verify or decode the new signedTransactionInfo payload? Should the verification now use Apple’s public keys instead of the legacy Merchant ID certificate? Are there any example implementations or SDKs that can handle both v1 and v2 formats during migration? Is there a recommended way to maintain backward compatibility while transitioning existing users? Goal Ensure that my revamped app can handle Apple Pay v2 tokens securely while keeping the legacy v1 integration functional until all users are migrated.
